Ok guys so I have written this poem for school and I just really would like some honest feedback. Enjoy! G x

We reach for this constellation of words,

that pours its heart into our own.

Our little piece of escapism,

that brings us guilty pleasure.

It luxuriates the soul,

through a universe that ensures,

we never go to bed alone.

Grasping our reprieve,

we tune out the world

and enter the labyrinth of imagination.

Losing ourselves in this serene intoxication,

dreaming, with our eyes open.

It is an antidote for the mind,

our refuge from the vulgarities of life.

We see in it a counsellor,

that brushes the dust from our soul.

And sometimes,

by the closing of its arms,

we have gained a faithful friend.

One which stays,

hugging the pages forever.
