No one had ever sang before. It was unlike anything that I had ever heard. What surprised me the most was that the music had come out of me? I was a rebel. I was unlike the others. We all were in suits made or iron and metal, our faces and voices electronic, our minds persuaded and manipulated to think other things. When we were hungry our suits took us to food to feed us, we were force fed through tubes. When we were tired we were gassed. The suit looked after us and we did nothing in return. It reminded me off an olden super hero, something people used to look up too. Iron man. A man had created armor and the armor protected him, there was one exception he could leave when he pleased, we were stuck with nowhere to escape.

“I want to go to Amy’s house” I said, with my cyber-tronic voice.

“Access denied” the suit replied.

“Can I go to bed?” I asked.

“Access denied.”

“Why not” I argued back.

“Improper sleeping pattern” the suit continued. I was stuck. I wanted to do something.

“What can I do then?” I asked.

“Eye co-ordination patterns initiated, please stay focused.” The suit informed and then pictures of squares and triangles appeared before me and played funny patterns. I tried to look away but the suit held me firmly in its grip. The pattern flew around in front of me and soon my eyes were sucked in as I told the difference from squares and triangles as they flew on my screen. After that the suit, went to the kitchen where I filled it’s self-up with food and drink and kept it in its leg until I needed it. I could feel the coolness of the water trickle on my leg, no matter how much the suit tried to keep a constant body temperature, It could not control its water. I slowly wiggled my foot around touching the wet metal, I brushed against it feeling flakes peel off and onto my leg. I calmly, but hastily continued to brush the crumbly metal. The suit took no notice, it continued to fill itself up. Then I felt a small seething feeling on my foot, unlike anything I had felt before. It was like a little gap spraying air onto my foot. My leg had a sharp pain from all the rubbing and that was what the suit noticed.

“Irregular pain moderation in right foot, decoding sequence beginning.” I stated. My foot touched the metal again and I rubbed it, feeling gritty pain run through me as I did. The suit repeated its original statement a couple of times. Slowly I felt the gap get larger, the pain in my foot get more unbearable and the stress in my head slowly filling out of my ears. But I had, had enough of the suit, telling me how and then controlling my life. I wanted to be set free. All I saw from where I was, was a dumb black, white and gray world. But I could swear there was more than that. I remember before being placed in this suit that there was more. There was more life, and bright lights. I kept on rubbing until the gap was so big I ut my foot out and touched the ground. A hard tiley, but lifesaving ground. For the first time in years my body hadn’t been numb to touch something, because this time it really was touching something.

“Irregular place, shutting down, reboot in twenty minutes, Unlock system hard drive for repair.” The suit said in my ears like it always did. Without warning the suit fell back and slammed into its back still giving me a cushiony landing, then the suits body warmth, disappeared and I felt a rush or scary and very soothing cold air rush up on me. The suit clicked and slowly I watched as the front part lifted up in front of me and dropped on the ground. My eyes stung mesmerized by the colours that I was not allowed to see. I felt the cold air run across my body making me, shiver in delight. I slowly stood and touched the tiled ground of the kitchen. I walked toward the black closed curtain of the kitchen, my hand which seemed so pale reached out and touched it, I felt the fabric slip in my hands and then with a sudden gush I pulled it away. And I was amazed. I saw the blue of sky and the white of the clouds, the green of the brass and the brown of the bark, most of all I saw the grey and the black of the suits, that clasped around peoples
