Hi, I'm Elissa. I was born May 5th, 2004 in Syria. I lived there up until I was about a year and a half old then went to America for a better life. My mother is a native of Syria and my father was born and raised in New Jersey. I also have a Russian influence. I lived a normal life until everything changed, when I was diagnosed with leukemia.

I was 4 years old at the time, and I was living in Houston, texas. I was lucky to be living there since I was treated at MD Anderson cancer center. It wasn't really expected, but I've learned a lot from this experience and I made so many new friends during it. I was familiar with the doctors and nurses and let me say they were the nicest people I have ever met. I enjoyed seeing them and I'm so glad they helped me.
