WARNING: one or two bits of swearing but nothing major.

Another day, another heartbreak. You see, Sam and I often spend a wonderful night together, but then as soon as the morning comes, Sam has to leave for his job. I have no idea what he does, but it takes a lot of time.

'I've never felt as right as I do
When I'm waking up next to you

I lie awake for half an hour or so before Sam wakes up. I study every inch of his face, his eyes, his lips, everything. I study him like I'll never see him again. And who knows, maybe one day I won't.

"Morning Y/N," Sam mumbles in his hoarse morning voice which I love so dearly.

"Morning." I smile sadly knowing what's to come and he pulls me into him, knowing how I feel. He knows that I doubt he'll ever come home. I know he shouldn't be with me, he should be with his brother, doing his job.

Slowly Sam gets out of the bed and gets dressed while I watch with an all too familiar look on my face.

'It took years to find you
But I never really thought I would

Even in the middle of the night.'

While I look at him, I think about everything I've ever done, everything I did in those years before I met him. I spent years being psychologically abused and self-loathing. But then I met Sam, and everything changed. He made me feel special, loved. He's become the reason I wake up in the morning; he's everything I love about the world.

"What?" He asks me, breaking me out of my thoughts?

"Huh?" I respond.

"You were looking at me. I was wondering why."

"I was just thinking about how much you mean to me and how lucky I am."

'I've never felt as right as I do

"And how much I love waking up next to you every day and then that one day I might not wake up next to you and how much my heart would break," I say and look down.

"Love you don't have to worry about that. I will always be here." Sam smiles, reassuringly at me while getting ready.

"After all, fate brought you to me, and I plan on keeping you with me," he says with a smile. I smile back.

**2 Years Ago**
Shit, I forgot to pick up any groceries after work. I'll have to grab some quickly.

I quickly walk into a store and start looking around, picking up things I need here and there. Then suddenly two guys all in black barge into the store and hold the guy behind the counter at gunpoint and demand money. I look around, and lots of the other customers in the store are hiding. But then there's one guy. He's massive, over 6 foot I'd say. He doesn't look scared in the slightest.

He suddenly kicks one of the guys in the shin and grabs the gun as he falls to the ground, then holds the gun up to the other guy while knocking the first guy out by kicking him into a shelf. Damn, he knows what he's doing... he's cute too. What am I thinking I've never met him before. He's a complete stranger. I suppose I can still look, though.

Shit, he's seen me looking.
"Are you ok miss?" He asks me and smiles warmly.

"Oh uhhh, yea I'm fine. Thanks for stepping in." I smile a bit.

"I couldn't just let that happen, could I?" He asks still with a smile on his face.

"No, I guess not."

"This certainly wasn't the shopping I'd imagined, but it was way more interesting," I say with a giggle, and he chuckles and runs a hand through his gorgeous hair. And then that's it. I'm captivated, hooked. And I know. I just know he's it. He's the one.

'I never feel as right as I do
I've never felt as strong as I do.'

I feel this overwhelming sense of security and content. I'm filled with immense feelings of love and compassion for this stranger with the long hair and gorgeous eyes who I've never met.

**Present Day**

"Love I knew as soon as I met you that you were it for me. And I will never leave you. I waited for years to find you and now I have I'm not letting you go." Sam says and kisses my head to reassure me.

"Sammy, I knew then, and I know now that you're the one I was supposed to find," I say with a smile. For right now, my life is perfect. I have no idea what's to come, but right now, everything is perfect.
