Today we will be focusing on Kendrick Lamar.
He's pretty much rap's hottest new thing. And he's featured in many pop songs as well. I'm not a huge fan of rap, but he's won me over. Seriously, it's amazing. However, since it is rap, these guys aren't shy of a few bad words. You have been warned.
#1. DNA. - Kendrick Lamar [EXPLICIT]
Soooo...this song is freaking amazing. You might've heard the first part of it from that Google Home Ad in the super bowl, but yeah, that's when I really got into this song. It's been on repeat for hours for sure. You just don't get sick of it.
This song, however, also contains words for mature people. If you don't want to listen, you don't have to. [I'm not mature enough for this XD]
I'm posting the audio only for this song because there aren't any lyric videos immediately popping up that don't contain the music video, which is...well, you all know how I proof-watch every video for you? I just wouldn't necessarily want to post it on here. If you want to watch it, be my guest. [- Gaston, Beauty and the Beast]
#2. All the Stars - Kendrick Lamar, SZA [EXPLICIT]
This has bad words and basically girls in bikinis disguised as costumes. You have been warned.
I really love this song. It's just another one of those that has been on repeat forever and ever. I just keep coming back to this.
I don't really like SZA's style of music normally (yes, i checked her out), but this song isn't her normal style and these two make such a good song combo. It's really great.
#3. HUMBLE. [Explicit]
Okay. This is legit the clean lyric video version because this song has soooooo many bad words. More than the two above.
And it has the freaking a word.
Me: REALLY? ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?
I...don't watch the video. It's basically a bunch of images you don't necessarily want to see if you're innocent. Cough, butts, cough. But like, if you've already watched Anaconda, I think it's too late to preserve that. Or even seen the thumbnail for that video. *shivers*
Raise your hand if now you're totally looking up both of those.
This song is also good. It just hasn't been put on repeat. My brother did that for me by saying it all over the house whenever and wherever. Drove me nuts. He does NOT rap good. UGH.
#4. LOVE. - Kendrick Lamar ft. Zacari [Explicit]
This song is much more casual and has not as much...language. It's been on repeat for at least a good hour. The video is...again, I just, as feminist rather not watch that.
I hate the way women are sexualized all the time. It kills me. We didn't do anything to deserve to have this happen to us. Am I the only one?
So, yeah. Try the audio. It isn't clean.
Who wants me to do an Eminem day? [I might do it anyway - don't worry, his songs aren't only rap.]
