Another day of being alive,sometimes I just ask myself am I doing enough not just for me but for other people, I'm heartless I know but I do have people whom I love deep down like my parents but I'm just not ready to forgive them.

I did final touches on my make up and head downstairs and I could hear Brooklyn in the kitchen, well she's comfortable but I don't think I mind maybe it's because she's Terence daughter.

Taraji:Morning
Brooklyn:Hi,you fridge is literally empty
Taraji:I know,you hungry
Brooklyn:A bit
Taraji:We can get something on the way if you're ready to go
Brooklyn:You taking me to school?
Taraji:Yes or you're more comfortable with you your driver?
Brooklyn:No,im just a bit nervous around you not that...
Taraji:When I'm at home,I'm Taraji the human being not the celebrity don't feel nervous or scared please
Brooklyn:So you gonna fetch me too?
Taraji:Yeah or Marlo my assistant will you'll just see by my car. Grab your stuff and let's go and take my number

She handed me her phone and I put in my number, I don't even give out my personal number to my business associates but her I am give a teenager, You're a good person he said

14:10pm

I've been burying my head with work because I don't have anyone who can unload most if the work I have, I would have a vice CEO but no one would handle my company the way I am. Brooklyn hasn't called me so I'm a bit worried but I don't want to call her and sound clingy cause she is old enough so I'm not gonna worry so much.  Marlo was working on her desk because of the busy week ahead.

Taraji:Marlo did you reschedule all my meetings for next week on the days I go to court for another time
Marlo:Yes but you not going to court on Friday so are gonna come to work?
Taraji:I'll decide if everything goes well on Thursday then I'll see
Marlo:Good Luck in your...
Taraji:My divorce...you can say it Marlo
Marlo:How does it feel? Going thru a divorce must be the hardest thing ever
Taraji:I can't really say because we haven't been to court yet but when you've been married like I was, it feels like I've been set free and can finally love again
Marlo:Speaking of finding love, I see your lawyer or friend Mr Terrence Howard should I say looks interested in his client.

Why is she talking about him cause I can't even hide the smile in my face and how does she know Terrence

Taraji:How so you know Terrence?
Marlo:You mean to tell me you don't know who your lawyer is?
Taraji:he's my lawyer that's all I know
Marlo:He owns Howard International
Taraji:He's the one we lost the Haines deal to, are you serious?
Marlo:Apparently he just finalizes the deals and not the day to day running
Taraji:He didn't say anything
Marlo:So you and him?
Taraji:There is nothing going on

Just in time Brooklyn called so I'm figuring she is ready for me to fetch her

Taraji:I'll be back in about 15 to 20 minutes
Marlo:Mr Howard calls and you ready to go
Taraji:Mr Howard is out of town Marlo and like I said there is nothing going

16:35pm

I just finished all my work and now I'm ready to go, Brooklyn has been busy with her laptop since I fetched her and she didn't have much to say so I don't know if I should ask what's wrong or keep quiet because I don't want to impose on her business.

Taraji:Baby girl pack up your things so that we can go
Brooklyn:Yeah we can go

18:50pm

Brooklyn and I went grocery shopping before we went to my house and she just went upstairs and I prepared dinner, I'll ask her what's wrong when she comes down,before I could set the table my stared ringing which is weird because no one calls me after working hours besides Marlo

Taraji:Taraji hello?
Terrence:You didn't look at your caller ID?
Taraji:No,i'm in the kitchen so I wasn't really expecting your call
Terrence:I was just calling to check up on you and Brooklyn

I don't want him to worry about his daughter because it will seem as if I'm not accommodating her or anything

Taraji:She's good
Terrence:And you?
Taraji:I'm fine and you?
Terrence:I'm bored
Taraji:Watch TV or something
Terrence:i'd rather be talking to you
Taraji:Terrence...
Terrence:Why do you do that?

Terrence:Try to switch up when I get personal with you?

Terrence:You calculate everything you say like a wall in front if you, not everyone is against you.
Taraji:i'm not cautious of my words or anything but I don't get along with people, I've always been like just because I don't talk doesn't mean...
Terrence:I'm not...
Taraji:You cutting me out
Terrence:I'm sorry please continue
Taraji:That's the thing people never listen to what I have to say but paint an image of how I am. You think just because I don't talk I'm cold and heartless NO, I don't need to vent everytime something goes wrong in my life.  I'm going thru a divorce and I have no one t talk to about it but you don't see me being a damsel in distress because that's how "normal" people are suppose to behaviour miss me with that crap
Terrence:You not listening that's your problem but this is not a conversation I want us to have over the phone
Taraji:I'm hungry and I'm hanging up
Terrence:Have a good night,I'll call you tomorrow okay
Taraji:Goodnight Terrence.

I set up the table and Brooklyn walked in and washed her hands before taking a seat.

Taraji:Can we talk for a minute?
Brooklyn:Yeah
Taraji:I'm not trying to be in your business or anything but you've been of since you came back from school,are you okay?
Brooklyn:I'm fine
Taraji:That's the biggest liar I've been told today, you can talk to me
Brooklyn:I don't want to bother you with my personal issues
Taraji:I don't mind
Brooklyn:Well me and my mom don't have the best of relationships,she called today so it kinda of messed up a good day

I didn't know her mom is still in the picture,why didn't Terrence tell me

Taraji:What did she do or say to you?
Brooklyn:She was being her usual petty self and using me to get to my dad
Taraji:What do you mean?
Brooklyn:You don't have any kind of social apps on your phone. When you dropped me off at school well the paparazzi spotted you and the pictures are all over
Taraji:Then what's her problem?
Brooklyn:She thinks you seeing my dad that's why you dropped me off so,can I ask you something.
Taraji:Anything
Brooklyn:Are you seeing my Dad?  If you are its fine,i don't mind but I've looked up to you for almost my whole teenage life and it would be weird if you seeing my dad
Taraji:Me and your Father have nothing going on between us so you have nothing to worry about
Brooklyn:Do you like him?
Taraji:Mhhh?
Brooklyn:Don't have to answer
Taraji:You can tell your mom she has nothing to worry about me
Brooklyn:The food is great
Taraji:I'm glad you enjoying your food. Did you talk to Terrence
Brooklyn:He called me in the morning but we didn't talk for long
Taraji:Okay,why do like me? I mean the world hates me especially now with the whole divorce thing and I know I'm not very friendly towards human nature and you look up to me
Brooklyn:It sounds weird but I can relate to you cause I talk mostly to my dad but I could never talk to him about things I really want to talk about like... 
Taraji:Sex? Boys?
Brooklyn:Yeah but when I read your autobiography and how you became who you are today, you didn't need a anyone to pick you up when you were down but focussed on becoming successful woman you are today
Taraji:I've never heard anyone speak about me the way you do, I'm perceived in a way that makes me seems like a cold person and I don't think I'm better but I just don't care what anyone has to say about me
Brooklyn:All if them can hate but I really like you genuinely. My mom said you and her are gonna met soon I don't know what she meant,do you?
Taraji:No that's weird.
