Not Right

   " ...Jeb "

He justs stood there. He didn't talk. He started walking forward. I felt the tears stream down my face.

   " How dare you. You think this little trick is going to work on me? "

He stopped moving and stared at me. His eyes kept darting to the kids, but I stood in front of them.

   " I don't know what creature you are, but you have no right to look like someone you're not."

He started walking forward again, but faster this time. I lifted my sword up and slashed it at him. He dodged it and moved left. I twirled to the right and extended my arm out and this time it struck him. There was a huge slash on his chest. I then kicked him down and sliced his neck. He disappeared and a little demon laid there. My tears fell as I stabbed him. I looked up to see more of them. Katlyn was nowhere in sight. They were all going towards the kids. I ran and slashed my sword at every one of them. There was one left and I aimed my arrow at it ready to let go of the arrow. This time it looked like Jeb again.

   " You have no right to look like him. None at all."

Then I let the arrow go. It hit him straight in the chest. More and more kept coming. I kept slashing at them trying to stop them from getting to the kids. Eventually, I stopped. There were no more. What I didn't see was one behind me. I felt the presence of one more but didn't see it. I turned around only to be stabbed in the stomach. I backed up holding my stomach.

   " Master will be most pleased with you three."

I walked over to it and stabbed it. They kept coming, and eventually, I couldn't fight anymore. The loss of blood got to me and I fell to the sand. I could see a blue figure in the distance, but I passed out before I could do anything or say anything.

( Katlyn's P.O.V. )

I ran back. Jeffory wasn't actually there. It was some sort of creature. I ran back to see Y/n attacking hundreds of those things. She clutched her stomach as she fought. Eventually, she dropped to her knees.

   " Y/n!"

She collapsed on the sand. The creatures started swarming towards the kids and her. I ran at them and attacked them. Then I saw one that looked like Aaron. He walked over and grabbed Dimitri and put a sword to his neck.

   " Tell the one with healing powers to come to the pillar in the forest alone with no weapons and no one else. Or the children and the girl will be harmed."

Then one of them paralyzed me. I fell to the ground and saw them take away the kids and Y/n.

( Your P.O.V. )

I woke up on a pillar with the kids in my lap. They were sound asleep. There was a man in front of us. He turned towards us and I recognized him. The demon Warlock.

   " Finally awake I see."

   "Ya, I am. What do you want with us?"

   " It's not what you have, but more like what a friend of yours has."

   " Aphmau..."

   "Yes, Aphmau. She has Irene's relic does she not?"

   " She does. Then why do you need me here? I can understand why you want the children, but why me?"

   " Well, I wanted to talk to you personally."

   " About?"

   " You have powers correct?"

   " Yes, I do."

   " Let's see. You only gained them by a little witch? Yes? Well with that your curse that took effect 16 years ago. You know you weren't supposed to come back."

   " I know, but my friends were stubborn."

   " As I can see. You know you and your ' friends ' think it's gone."

   " Why do you say it like that?"

   " Well, are they really your friends? They took you away from your family and a lover of yours. So are they really your friends? Let me say this as well. With every action, there's a reaction. You survived your curse that was supposed to last forever. Don't you think that it was to easy to do?"

   " ... "

   " I'm right and you know it. It was too easy, but I can tell you that it may come back. In a different way. Maybe starting with that golden heart of yours?"

He touched my chest where my heart was.

   " Start from the inside out am I right? "

I didn't say anything. The fear was too strong.

   " It will happen again, but I can prevent it."

   " What?"

   " Yes, little fighter I can prevent it."
