Time's Up

I sat up and looked around. No one was in the little shed. So I walked outside to see that the stars decorated the sky. I saw a fire that was built over on the beach. the wind blew and blew a few strands of my hair with it. I looked back inside at the hourglass and saw that the sand was almost gone. I decided to change into a new set of clothes so I found Lucinda.

   " Hey, Lucinda?"

   " What is it dear?"

   " Could you maybe change my outfit?"

   " Sure. Hold still."

I nodded and didn't move.

I looked down at my outfit. It was perfect for what I was planning to do.

   " Thanks, Lucinda."

   " Not a problem sweety."

She walked back to the group and the only people I didn't see was Aphmau and Aaron. Weird. I shook the thought away and started heading up the mountain. As I traveled I saw a little waterfall. Aphmau and Aaron were there just talking.

   " I hope she doesn't make the deal."

I stopped in my tracks and listened.

  " I kind of hope she does Aaron."

   " Why!?"

   " Because he's giving her a chance at a normal life. Last time we knew what to do, but we ran out of time. This time though. We don't know anything except where it'll start. Aaron Zoey found a way to unfreeze her and bring her back to life. I don't know if she can do that again."

   " She can Aph. That's the thing is that she can do it."

   " Aaron it took 16 years. 16 years of her life wasted away until she came back. Zoey didn't figure it out till then. Lucinda said that she doesn't even remember what potion she made with Malachi. She said it was an accident and she was only able to get one bottle of it while it transformed Malachi."

   " Aph-"

   " I don't want to take the risk that she'll die Aaron. I hope she takes the deal."

I walked away feeling uncertain about what I'm doing. I kept climbing though. When I reached the highest point I could I looked over the island. I saw the beach where everyone was at. The cave they found Lillith at. Then the ancient ruins that were found not too long ago. then finally a little cave right above me. I stepped up and into the cave. The bots helped my climb. When I reached the inside of it it was very dark. I set a torch down. I got prepared and waited.

( Katlyn's P.O.V. )

I stood up and walked to the little hut Y/n had made. I knocked, but I got no reply. I knocked once more and I still got no reply. I opened the door and looked inside. No one was there. All that was there was the bed she slept in and the hourglass that was given to her by the demon warlock. I walked inside and picked up the hourglass. The sand was almost gone. It formed a cone around the center of the little hole. When I realized she wasn't there I ran to the others.

   " Guys!"

They all looked towards me.

   " Y/n's not there."

   " What?" Vylad said.

   " She's not there. I checked."

   " Well maybe she just went to use the bathroom," Laurence said.

I held out the hourglass and showed them how much time was left in it. All of their eyes widened.

   " I don't think she did."

( Your P.O.V. )

I waited and then I started seeing smoke gather around a certain spot in the cave. Right in front of me. I got ready. I stood tall. I wasn't going to let the fear shut me down.

( Travis's P.O.V. )

We ran up the mountain to try and find Aph and Aaron. As we ran we followed her trail, but it disappeared. We made it to the waterfall and they were both sitting by the waterfall and talking.

   " Guys!"

They both stood up and turned towards us.

   " Her times almost up, and we don't know where she is," Laurence said.

They ran over to us and Katlyn showed her the hourglass. There was only a little sliver of sand left.

   " We have to find her! She doesn't need to be alone at this time!" I shouted. 

We started running when I noticed smoke coming out of a cave somewhere on the mountain. I could feel the color drain from my face.

   " Guys..."

( Your P.O.V. )

I stood there still standing tall. I could tell that my time was almost up. The smoke started getting heavier and heavier. By this time now it was up to my ankles. I still stood there still as a statue. I could tell that it was raining outside. I heard it start pouring. Soon enough the smoke was sucked back up at the spot it had come from.

( Laurence's P.O.V. )

We followed Travis as we all ran up the mountain. It started raining on us, but we never stopped running. I looked up at the cave to see her H/c blowing in the harsh wind at the edge of the cave. I wanted to yell at her to come down, but it was a waste of breath. I knew she wouldn't listen. Plus if she saw us then she would put a bubble around us like last time. This is her choice, but we want to make the choice this time.

( Your P.O.V. )

When the smoke was sucked up it exploded and the demon warlock stood there with a twisted grin on his face. His eyes found me and he tried to make me cower in fear, but stood my ground. I wasn't going to let the fear take control. Not again.

   " Time's up little fighter."
