Never Simply Brown

When I looked into your eyes,
I didn't just see the color.
I saw life, I saw beauty,
Unlike any other.
Every emotion that you've felt,
I saw it in your eyes.
Through your eyes I could see the truth,
Through your eyes I could see the lies.
I saw pain and I saw hurt,
I saw happiness and joy.
I see every little detail,
Just like a child with a toy.
Your eyes hold such beauty,
You don't even  know.
There's so much life behind them,
That you don't notice they show.
When you smile they sparkle,
When you laugh they shine.
Your eyes are so perfect,
It must be a crime.
They widen when surprised,
They close when in fear.
They show me when you want to stay,
And when you want to disappear.
You don't know it, but your eyes speak to me,
And they have such a beautiful voice.
They tell me why you are so quiet,
And when you want to make some noise.
You wish that your eyes were different,
Like the deep blue of the sea.
Or like the bright blue of the sky,
But they're as perfect as can be.
Your eyes show me your soul,
And like your eyes, it's beautiful too.
They're the things I want to look into,
When I tell you I love you.
So please my beautiful darling,
Your eyes are more beautiful than you think.
The only time I'll be upset,
Is when I can't see them when you blink.
Your eyes tell a beautiful story,
That I want to hear all the time.
A story that is so perfect,
It needs no pattern or rhyme.
So I'll say it everyday if I have to,
Your eyes are so deep and beautiful, I could drown.
So don't you ever say again,
Your eyes are just simply brown.
