27.| Nainai...

Your POV

"Fine, you told me to forgive and forget, right? Then let's forget about the past. Now that you forgot them all... Would you date me again?"

"I-" I avoided his gaze. "I... I don't know," 

He grabbed my hands, making me jump a bit. "You avoided my eyes," He whispered. "Look into my eyes and tell me what your answer is," 

I looked into his eyes. Those eyes that I can never lie to. "I would... I woul- I want to give us a second try," I answered honestly. I saw he eyes light up like a small child getting candy. Xukun's grip on my hands tightens as he was filled with excitement. 

"You're- you're serious?"

I let out a soft chuckle. "I looked into you're eyes, didn't I?" I teased, making him even happier. His smile was just the same as I remembered; the old Cai Xukun whom I fell for...

Xukun pulled my hands towards him, we both leaned in. But I stopped because my phone rang. I picked it up and pressed it against my ear.

-PHONE CALL-

Uncle!!

"Hello-"

"YUEJIA! Get home now!"

I furrowed my brows together as my heart was beating fast. What happened? Why is he yelling?

"W-What? Why?"

"Nainai is in the hospital! Get home, pack and you're going to Beijing!" 

My heart dropped as I heard my uncle's voice end and 3 beeps. I stood up, grabbed my bag and ran as fast as I could.

"Yuejia! What happened?!" Xukun yelled from behind. But I just ignored him and kept running. You may be concerned that I'm currently at a mall right now, and is running back to her house; yeah don't worry, I won 1st place 2 years in a row in track and field.

I busted open my door and saw my aunt and uncle with my suitcase. 

"Yuejia. Here are most of your clothes, we grabbed your laptop and all your chargers too! We also called you a taxi to the airport, there goin- who is this?" I looked behind me to see Xukun leaning against the door, breathing heavily.

"This... this is Cai Xukun. My ex-boyfriend. Can talk about that later. And why aren't you going to Beijing?"

"We have stuff we need to finish up, we'll head there if anything serious happens, right... nainai needs you, go!" I quickly gave them both a hug, my aunt handed me my passport, and tickets. 

"Call us when you get there!" Yi-ma yelled before the door closed behind me. Got in the taxi and headed straight for the airport, as for Xukun. He was still with me. I told him he shouldn't go with me, but he insisted.

Once we got into the terminal, we both sat down and waited until our plane was ready. Xukun got a ticket once he got to the airport... funny how much worry-free life is when you have money. 

My mind was thinking about scenarios of what could've happened to nainai. When I suddenly felt the urge to cry. I closed my eyes, inhaling in slowly, trying to hold it in, but Xukun wrapped his arms around me, pushing my head down so I could rest on his shoulder. 

"Shh. Nainai is going to be fine... she's a strong woman. You know that, right?" I didn't reply back but gripped his shirt, crying softly.

He was patted my back and held me close to him, comforting me with soothing words until I stopped crying.
