Xukun's POV

I paced back and fouth, waiting for any news about her.

Why would anyone do this? Especially to Yuejia. She's the sweetest, and humble person I know.

"GEGE! W-WE HEARD FROM THE POLICE! We might know where she is!" Ziyi ran into my room. I quickly followed him out.

The police were standing there holding some papers, and from what I see, photos.

"Cai Xukun?"

"That's me," I spoke up, choking up a bit.

"We found the licenses plate number from the car and traced it back to Li Fengmian. Do you know anything about her?"

Li Fengmian? R-Really?! She's the one behind this?

"U-Um. She used to be my best friend."

The policed didn't ask any more questions but told me to follow them. In which my whole family did, I told the boys to stay back, make sure things are okay if anybody calls, or comes.

"Mr. Cai." One of the policemen started. "We believe that your fiancé is being held hostage in a run-down building. We also you that you could be the only one to save her."

I got confused at the last few words.

Why am I the only one that could save her?

"Wait... why am I the one that could only save her? You're the policemen!"

"Because we have evidence that Miss Li has health issues. So maybe you can help her get the help she needs, and save your fiancé."

I rolled my eyes in frustration. This is a joke.

The car stopped moving. I looked out the window and saw an old run-down building.

The 2 policemen got out, as I followed out.

"Mr. Cai. This is all on you."

I took in a deep breath.

The policemen burst open the door, held up their guns, ready for anything. I quickly ran in, looking for Yuejia.

"Yuejia..." Her name escaped from my lips. She was tied up in her beautiful, now ruined, wedding dress. Her eyes were bloodshot, and it even looked like she cried all her makeup away...

My heart couldn't bare with the scene. I needed to take her away and into my arms. So I tried. I tried to run to her when Fengmian walked out of nowhere.

Holding a gun, directly to Yuejia's head.

"Another step and I'll pull the trigger." She warned. I stopped in my tracks and raised both my hands mid-way.

"Fengmian-ah... don't do this. Please." I begged upon seeing Yuejia tear up again.

"Tell me why?! HUH! TELL ME WHY I SHOULDN'T END HER LIFE?!!"

"Because I love her! Fengmian-ah! Please spare her." But she didn't. She just began to laugh. I was moved back a bit.

Why the hell is she laughing?

Slowly that laughter, that sinister laughter became her sobbing and crying.

"Tch... boy. You really know how to hurt someone Cai Xukun. You really know where to stab the knife in." She whimpers. "Saying how you love her and all... what about me?"

"Fengmian-ah... you need help-"

"I DON'T NEED HELP! I need you."

I sighed hard as she wiped her tears with her sleeve. But quickly held up the gun again. "You have no idea what you put me through." I closed my eyes, I couldn't deal with the pain of seeing Yuejia cry... and the guilt of what happened to Fengmian.

"Xukun-ah... w-walk away from this. Please. This is the only way I would know your safe." Yuejia faints begs. I shook my head.

"How could you even say that... why are you being selfish? What you think would happen if I walked away. If I walked away without you."

"Miss Li. Please put the gun down." One of the cops asked sternly. This time she held up the gun towards us.

"Fengmian-ah... put down the gun. We can start over." I slowly began to make small little movements towards her.

"You know... I always wondered. If Yuejia's parents didn't die and they would continue the business project with our families... and the 3 of us grew up together, would you have still loved her..."

I thought for a while.

Would I still loved Yuejia... if all of us were raised like siblings.?

"Yes." I breathed out, taking a few more small steps. "I would still love her because of her personality. Nothing would change."

"Then what about me?!" She screamed.

"Fengmian... I love you as my little sister. You were right there by my side when we were kids. I was always there to protect you... just like an older brother would."

Still. She shook her head in disagreement. "No! I don't get it! I don't understand it!!"

"Hey...remember how... how we use to play hide 'n' seek. Or when we were really little. We would play house. You would be the mommy, and I would be the daddy. Just put down the gun and everything would go back to the way it used to."

Finally. I got to her. I took the gun away and handed it to the police.

"Fengmian... get the help you need... For me, for everyone. I beg you." After I said that, she was handcuffed and pulled away to the van.

I ran over to Yuejia and quickly untied her.

"Xukun..."

"Shhh. Don't worry. It's all over. Your safe now." Once again. She began to tear up. Once her hands were free, she immediately wrapped her hands around my neck, throwing herself at me. "I've missed you so much..."

Embracing her back. I mumbled into her nape, "I've missed you more..."
