Weekend

I want to move but I stiffened at what I heard. It seems like they're talking about me.

Gusto kong mailang sa posisyon namin ni Tristan pero nang maramdaman ko ang kusang paggalaw ng kabila nitong kamay para takpan ang mukha ko sa sikat ng araw na pumasok sa bintana ng sasakyan, nakaramdam ako ng kakaibang saya.

Tristan's hugging me as if he's protecting me. Walang malisya ang dampi ng balat niya sa aking balat. Ramdam ko ang bigat ng hininga niya at ang lakas ng tibok ng kanyang puso sa kanyang dibdib.

I can also feel the abnormal rhythm of my heart beat. Dn, but I'm loving this feeling. I love the way my body gets close to his. I love his warmth. I love his comfort.

"Shut it, Migs. Max wouldn't want to hear that."

Someone let out a chuckle. It seemed like they were very engrossed with the conversation and they forgot that their subject was just beside them.

"Why?"

Tinanggal ni Tristan ang kamay na nakatakip sa may mukha ko kanina. Wala na rin kasi ang sikat ng araw. Ramdam kong mas hinigpitan niya ang hawak sa aking bewang nang bahagyang gumewang ang sasakyan. Damn, this is my first time to sleep in a man's chest inside a freaking car!

"Can we not talk about this? C'mon guys, the woman we're talking about is just beside me. I don't want her to hear us and think that we're making her the center of our conversation."

"Damn. Tell me this isn't your good side, Tristan Hidalgo."

"Fck you, James!"

Tristan murmured a curse in a low voice. Maybe it was not to wake me up. Pero syempre, rinig ko pa rin. I didn't even know how I managed to pretend that I'm still asleep.

"I heard De Villa's on campus. What are you gonna do, cousin?"

Pinsan?

I didn't know that Tristan has a cousin on the team. Wala namang ibang Hidalgo kundi siya lang. Well, maybe on the mother's side? Damn, why am I eavesdropping, anyway?

I wanna open my eyes but upon hearing De Villa, I decided to pretend I'm still sleeping.

"Damn that bastard! I don't know he'll come this far. I'll never let him touch Maxene!"

Dinig ko ang tuksuhan na nanulas sa labi ng mga kateam ni Tristan. I can also feel Tristan's rage of anger. Hindi ko alam kung si Lexus pa ba talaga ang pinag-uusapan nila.

"Damn. I don't know the story about you and De Villa, but I think it's too gay for you to be so cheesy like that, Tristan."

Tawanan naman ang sumunod pero walang reaksyon si Tristan. Hindi ko alam pero binundol ako ng kaba sa narinig tungkol kay Tristan at Lexus. It feels like there's something serious that's going on between the two of them.

"It's your fault, cousin."

Tristan's muscles got tensed by the way he holds my waist. Halatang apektado siya sa sinabi ng kanyang pinsan.

"I'll never forget that, Seth. I know."

Maybe the others felt the tension between Tristan and the man called Seth, they became silent. Tumigil ang tawanan at tuksuhan na parang may dumaang anghel sa paligid namin.

On cue, nagkunwari  naman akong kakagising lang. Damn, I never knew I could use my acting skills on this.

I got up and pretended nothing happened like I didn't hear anything. I even acted like I was really surprised when I realized my position on Tristan's body. Mahina ko siyang tinulak na agad naman nitong naintindihan. The other boys didn't say a thing pero hindi ko makita ang reaksyon nila since nasa likuran sila.
