Percy POV
We have been sitting here for what feels like forever, but it was probably only half an hour. We heard marching coming down the hallway, as well as the clicking of heals. Us demigods shared a look and sat up in our bunks. The people marching finally came into view. It was about 10 men with the women from the warden's office, Amanda Waller, leading them. I could see a baton, a pair of cuffs, a tazer, and a standard hand gun strapped to each man's hip. Some of them carried these complicated looking cuffs that would hook onto your hands and feet. They carried all these different types off gags and other restraints that, I'm assuming, they weren't afraid to use.
Amanda looked at the guard in front of our cell and he unlocked and opened our cell. Thalia's guard did the same and all three of us stepped out of our cells. We looked at Amanda and I decided to speak. "We aren't gonna give you trouble, so you don't need all of these restraints, but if it makes you feel better, you can put cuffs on us." She gave me a calculating look, trying to detect a threat in my voice. I made sure my voice and face were calm and nonthreatning. She gestured for her men to cuff us with the cuffs that only go on your wrists. Then, they led us through the hallways towards, I'm assuming, the exit.
Once we reached out side, we were lead further to 3 big, black SUVS that were being guarded by men holding rifles and other assortments of guns. They led us in the middle vehicle and Amanda joined us in the back. Her back was leaned up against the divider that separated the front and the back of the car, whereas the three of us sat along the sides of the car. We sat in silence for a long time until we stopped completely. The back opened and we were brought out of the SUV. We were at some private air field with a cargo plane and more men than before. We were led to the plane and seated against the left side with guards on either side and across from us. Well, might as well try to make myself comfortable. Keyword, try. I knew ol' uncle Zues wouldn't mind me or Nico in the air anymore, since he said he's finally accepted my existence and has chosen to accept me and Nico, it still makes me nervous. He can still change his mind. Or, maybe, he was lying to try and gain my trust and then 'BAM!', obliterate me in an instant. But, then he'd take out his daughter, and she's terrified of heights. And I wouldn't put it behind him to care about these mortals, if they died or not. I looked at my cousins to my right and saw that they were having as much a tough time as me. They looked up at me and my face changed to having no emotion. I nodded at them, signaling then to do the same. They followed my lead and we looked away from each other.
I had a feeling this was gonna be a loooooonnng ride.
---------------------------------------------------------
That wasn't as long as I expected. We were led out of the plane and saw some type of wierd military base. It was basically just a giant concrete slab with a metal fence around it, topped with some barbed wire, and a giant, old looking building in the distance. The place we landed was a landing strip right outside of the fenced in area. It was filled with many people dressed in uniforms and had a lot of military vehicles. We were lead towards the big building in the distance that looked like one of those cliché haunted mansions. We got a lot of stares, and even some glares, from the people we passed, but majority of them just ignored us. When we got to the building, we had to go through a lot of security to just get inside the damn place. Once we got in, they took blood and DNA samples. We didn't ask questions or resist, because we knew we wouldn't get answers and it would just make it worse for us. Once they were done, they lead us through a hallway. We heard a lot of screams, not of pain, but crazy and angry screams. We walked past once cell where it sonded like someone was beating the shit out of a punching bag. We also passed a cell that had a TV mounted in the corner and had a couch off to the side, but it also had a pool of water that took up most of the floor. That was strange, but I tend not to get suprised or shocked at many things anymore. We turned down a hallway with three cells that had metal bars like a regular prison instead of a huge metal door like most rooms we passed.
