it was him

"it's been a year. jal jinesseoyo?"

the boys couldn't believe their eyes.

"h-hyung?" jungkook asked in disbelief

"aigoo, why are you guys like that? you look like you've seen a ghost." he says jokingly

"jinseok hyung!!" taehyung runs up to the man and hugs him tightly

"aigoo, aigoo, this kid." jinseok laughed a little, "i missed you too."

kim jinseok, jin's older brother. he lives in the us and the last time the boys had seen him was last year. jinseok usually doesn't go home, even for the holidays, most especially when jinseok found out that jin died, so the boys were quite surprised that he was back in korea.

"why are you here, hyung?" yoongi asked

"well, it's been a year. i think it's about time i pay my little brother a visit." jinseok smiled sadly

they all went to the cemetery

jinseok thought that when he came back to korea, he was fine and was strong enough to face reality that his dongsaeng was gone. but he was wrong.

every step he took was heavy as he drew closer and closer to jin's grave.

he was crumbling. his knees were shaking so badly it was as if he took another step, he'd fall. his lips were trembling. tears were starting to pool in his eyes. this was harder than he had anticipated. it hurt. he thought the wound had healed, but all of a sudden it feels fresh again, like it had been cut a couple more times.

then there it was, right before his eyes.

his tears uncontrollably fell from his eyes. he still couldn't accept it. his dear brother was gone and he wasn't even there for him.

the members patted jinseok's back.

"it'll be alright, hyung." hoseok said

"it's okay, cry it all out." jimin said while rubbing comforting circles on jinseok's back

after a while, he had stopped crying and explained to the members how he was in the us when he found out that jin died. he also told them that it was jin's wish to buy bighit when he had enough money to do so and it just so happened that at the time, bighit was indebted to sm, so to fulfill jin's last wish, jinseok bought bighit back from sm under jin's name.

now that they finally understood everything, they gave up hoping that somehow, jin was alive.

instead, they all just enjoyed their time in the cemetery just the seven of them, with jin watching them from above.

after some years

"jin hyung, she cheated on me." jungkook sobbed in front of jin's grave

the skies were grey as the rain was pouring down harder than ever, occasional sounds of the roaring thunder and blast of lightning

"i-i loved her so much. she took seokjin with her. it's all gone. my family's all gone." he continued crying

he saw a glass shard near a tree and picked it up, then went back in front of jin's grave

"i'll see you soon, hyung."
