Poem #5 A mother

31 9 2

The unspoken words and the unshed tears,
The shattered heart, all understood here.

The wet cheek brushed by the soft, warm hand
A warm embrace to the motherland!

A heart as pure as a child's first cry,
Your unending tears, she wipes them dry

The sorrow, the pain, eclipsed by that precious smile
She picks you up as you trip at every mile.

Treasure those words of wisdom for life,
For you would entail them ahead in your strife.

Cherish the beauty of the moments you have with her,
For once they are lost, they are gone forever...
