Poem #12 What the sea sees

Raging and spinning, enthralled to see what lies ahead,
Surging with excitement of seeing beyond the sea bed.

The foamy happiness suddenly dies down,
The greenish blue delight is replaced by a frown.

They see the cruelties, the evils and the sins
Even though people seem blind, everyone loses and no one wins

Where the rich and the wealthy torment the poor and the weak,
Where victims are silenced when they try to speak.

Where social backwardness is masked by pop culture and trends,
Where the one who is lonely from within has the most friends.

Where suicide and homicide are a regular news,
Where no one wants to embrace contradictory views.

Where there is racism and sexism and mother nature is brutally used,
Where leaving is chosen over loving, hearts often bruised.

The waves returned, horrified to the core
The ocean swallowed them as they bid goodbye to the shore..
