EMMA POV
After about an hour or two I was still playing the game. I was now sitting in front of Trey who was playing with my hair, doing God knows what.
"Alright, I'm done." I say after I finally get killed.
"How many stars?" He asks me grabbing the controller from me and putting everything back where it was.
"4." I mutter and he laughs.
"Whatever at least I dont suck at virtual basketball." I scoff. "What time is it?" I ask to myself checking the time on my phone.
"3 am. I'm gonna go to bed." I announce. "I have somewhere to be tomorrow." I say, plugging my phone into the charger.
"Where do you have to go?" Trey asks me, beginnning to take his braids out.
"Nowhere that concerns you." I sass.
"But whenever I have plans you make me tell you." Trey says pulling his hair back into a bun.
"That's right. Turn the lights off so we can go to bed please." I say climbing under the covers.
"Not until you tell me where you're going." He says crossing his arms.
"I'm just going to hang out with Cameron." I shrug. He raises his eyebrow and shakes his head.
"Why are you hanging out with Cameron?"
"It's not like that. We're just gonna go to the mall, and get our nails done, and maybe grab some lunch. He's the person I do these things with." I shrug.
"I dont know if I feel comfortable with you spending a whole day out with Cameron when I'm not there." He says.
"Why not?" I ask sitting up in the bed.
"Because, he's not bad looking and-"
"Trey!" I interrupt him and he looks at me. I get out from under the covers and walk over to him. I place both hands on the side of his face.
"Yes, Cameron is good looking. But have you ever looked in the mirror. No matter how good looking Cameron is, he wont be able to take you off my mind. Not your sexy hair, or your perfect lips, or your smoldering green eyes. Believe me, you will be all I think about." I say covering his lips with mine.
"OK, I believe you. Dont let him try anything." Trey says and I nod.
"I wont. Now turn off the lights, I'm tired."
------------
I wake up to the sound of my phone dinging. I pick it up off the edge of the bed and see that Cameron sent me a text.
we still on for 2day?
Yeah, I'll be over there in 2 hours
I put my phone down and twist my head to look at Trey. He was fast asleep with some of his hair in his mouth. I twist around to look at him. His arm and leg were thrown across me and his face was right there in front of mine.
I start placing kisses all over his face and watch as his nose scrunches up.
"Trey." I sing.
"Hmm?"
"Time to wake up." I say. He opens his beautiful eyes and smiles a bit.
"You look beautiful." He says in his husky morning voice in which I've come to love.
"I know." I say then sit up. I throw his arm and leg off of me and get out of the warm bed. I grab my bag and go into his bathroom and shut the door. I get dressed into my clothes for the day and apply some light makeup so I dont look like complete shit.
I use Trey's brush to get ther tangles out of my hair and then do my hair up into two braided buns.
I leave the bathroom after spraying some perfume an see Trey sititng up scrolling through his phone.
"What you doing?" I ask him.
"Waiting for you to leave the bathroom." He says getting up and running in. I roll my eyes and pack up all my stuff into my bag. I check all my messages and social media on my phone and then call my mom because I know I'm going to forget to later.
"Hey mom." I say when she picks up.
"You missed a Sunday." She snaps.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I guess I wasnt paying attention, you know what with Finals coming up." I lie. I'm honestly not worried about Finals right now even though I should be. For now, I'm just gonna put that on hold until Trey leaves for Europe.
"Stop lying to me, Little Girl. It's a boy isnt it? You found yourself a California boy like in the movies and just completely forgot about the woman that pushed your big ass head out of her vagina." She trails on. I roll my eyes and sigh.
"Mom if that were true than I wouldnt be calling you right now." I defend and I could practically hear her rolling her eyes.
"So it is a boy?"
"Yeah mom, I guess." I sigh. She screams and I have to hold the phone away from my ear.
"Tell me all about him."
"OK well he's-"
"Who you talking to?" Trey asks walking out of the bathroom.
"Is that him?" She asks maybe a little too happy.
"Yeah it is..." I hear beeping and I pull the phone away from my ear to see Mommy Dearest would like to Facetime...
I answer it and look at her cheesing face.
"Let me see him." She demands.
"Trey, my mother would like to see what you look like." I say. Trey smiles and walks over to the bed. He climbs in next to me and peeps his head into the camera on my phone. As if it were possible, my mom's smile widens.
"He's so handsome." She swoons.
"Thank you, Ma'am." Trey says.
"Oh please, call me Ella." My mom says batting her eyelashes.
"So mom how's dad?" I ask. It seems like I have to remind her that she is married and has been for 20 years.
"He's out in the backyard tending to those damned dogs again. I swear he loves those dogs more than he loves me." She says shaking her head. My daddy bought 5 dogs when I was around 14 years old and Ericka was 13. He let us name them an even though some were boys we names them after Disney princesses. Snow White, Poccahontas, Cinderella, Ariel, and Belle. I love those dogs, but ever since we got them my mom has hated them.
"How are they?" I ask her.
"Poccahontas and Belle had puppies and that's been occupying your father's time more than it was already occupied." She rolls her eyes.
"How many?" I damn near shout.
"3. Your dad wants to give one to you as your graduation present." She says and I nearly leap for joy.
My mom, Trey, and I talk for another hour before I decided to end it.
"You look just like your mom." Trey says and I nod. I get that alot.
"It's where I get my good looks." I say. My mom has always been the most beautiful woman in the room and her confidence is through the roof and as is mine. Growing up she would always tell me that I'm better than everyone and that I'm beautiful and how I'm going to grow up to be the most beautiful girl in the room aside from her. I love my mom, I really do. And thanks to her I never went through the 'I hate my body' phase. Yeah I have a few imperfections here and there but I love them, I think my imperfections make me more perfect.
"I wasnt going to say anything but, your mom is crazy hot." Trey says. I glare at him and he laughs.
"I'm not going to lie to you." He shrugs.
"You're supposed to lie to me, Trey. That's what boyfriends do." I say getting off the bed.
"Oh I'm sorry, from now on I'll lie until my tongue falls off." He says and I smile.
"That's all I ask."
