CHAPTER NINE

EMMA POV

"Come on Dallas!" I yell once Cameron answers the phone.

"Oh you're here?" He asks.

"Nah, I'm in Kentucky. Get your ass out here before I leave." I joke.

"I'm coming, dont get your panties in a twist, babe." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Just hurry up." I say, then hang up the phone. Cameron comes running out of the apartment building and he hops in the car.

"Let's go." He says buckling up.

I drive to the same nail salon we went to last time and wewait our turn before going up.

"I just want french tips." I tell the lady and she nods and gets to work. The nails didnt take long since french tip is common and she seats me down in a massage chair. Not long after I sit down Cameron joins me.

"Hey Cam." I say and he smiles at me.

"I like that we're hanging out today." He says.

"This should be our thing. Whenever I need to get my nails done I'll call you and we'll just go together." I suggest and he agrees.

When the lady finishes with my french tip toes I look in admiration.

After the nail salon we go to the mall and then we stop at the Habit for lunch.

"I had fun with you today."  I tell Cameron, pulling up to his apartment building.

"Yeah I had fun with you too. I'm gonna miss you when we go to Europe." He says and I nod.

"I'm gonna miss you too." I admit. He get's out of the car and gets his stuff. He waves bye to me and I wave back before driving back home.

-2 weeks later-

"I dont want you to go." I tell Trey before he gets into the Uber with Taylor.

"I know you dont, but I have to." He says kissing the top of my head.

"I know." I mutter. "I'm gonna miss you." I say.

"I'll miss you too, beautiful." He brings his hand up to lift up my chin so my face was closer to his.

He brings his head down closer to mine and presses his lips, softly against mine.

"I gotta go." He says and I nod. He gets into the car and Hayley walks over to me and away from Taylor's window.

We wave 'bye' to them as the uber drives off.

"Damn!" Hayley yells after a while.

"What?" I ask turning to her.

"I need to write my speech!"

"You excited?" Ericka asks me, leaning into my bathroom frame.

Today was graduation day and after today I'm going to have a degree, and I'm going to be an adult, in search for a career. After today my life finally starts and I couldnt be more happy.

"Duh." I nearly squeal. I unplug my curling iron and turn towards her.

"What do you think?" I ask, referring to my outfit.

"You look gorgeous. Where's your cap and gown?" She asks.

"In my closet." I say turning to face the mirror again.

I walk out of the bathroom and Ericka hands me my stuff.

"Come on graduate, we gotta get to the University." Hayley says. I nod and she leaves the room.
