CHAPTER TEN

EMMA POV

I woke up to silence this morning. The minute I open my eyes I look around for Punzie and see that she was laying right next to me.

I get out of bed and she perks up.

"Good morning baby." I say and she lays back down as she watches me get ready. I walk into the bathroom and comb my hair out before putting it into a simple ponytail. I walk back into the room and then into the closet to pick out my clothes. I put on a marroon halter top, sweat shorts, and a black NIKE hat.

I put on a pair of Adidas and then grab my phone off the charger. I had a missed Facetime call from Trey and I call him back.

"Hey babe." I say once he answers.

"Hey, you going somewhere?" He asks.

"Yeah, I'm going to Petco because my doggy needs her accesories." I say happily.

"Oh, so you got her." He says and I nod.

"Yup, her name is Rapunzel and I love her." I smile.

Trey and I talk some more as I leave the house. I grab Rapunzel, my purse, and my car keys and go down to my car.

Trey and I talked the whole ride and then he had to go perform.

When we walk into the store I get a cart and I put Rapunzel in the baby seat part and walk around the store. I get food and treats first and then I get her the cutest pink sparkly collar and leash.

I then get her a cute bone shaped doggy bowl.

It takes me a while to find the perfect bed for her to grow into but I got one and was kind of like Rapunzel's tower.

Then I get her toys and I was about to get her clothes when I realized I went overboard all ready. My puppy is high maitenence.

When I got everything I walked around the other parts of the store just for fun and I looked around at the other pets and I got emotional. These little guys dont have homes.

I can't get a cat, I cant have two dogs that's too much work, I dont wanna get a fish because I'll get attached and they'll just die after two days, I cant get a snake. I can get a turtle though!

"How much are the turtles?" I ask the salesman that walked bye.

"They're 100 each." He nods. "Would you like one?"

"Three turtles?" Ericka asks and I nod looking excitedly at the tank that was now in the back corner our living room.

"This isnt a shelter, Emma. You cant just take in every living thing." She says and I groan.

"I know, I know. But I just get so emotional around animals." I say.

"Well, what are their names?" She asks bending down to look inside.

"OK, so there are two boys, and one girl, i thought we'd have fun watching a love triangle happen. The one with pink dot on the shell is Bella, the one with the green is Jacob, and the one with blue-"

"Let me guess, Edward." Ericka says sarcastically and I nod.

"I admit, watching a turtle love triangle might be fun." She says, standing up straight.

I laugh and nod.

I feed the turtles and then chop up some apples for their food tomorrow and put it in the fridge with a post it saying: DO NOT EAT (for the turtles)

"I'm home!" Hayley calls from the door.

"Hey! I have a surprise." I say and she raises an eyebrow.
