It killed me to know that Jessie was abusing him this whole time, and I was clueless about it, I could have helped more, Christy and I could have done something...I knew I saw bruises all over him, wait a minute...

I grabbed his wrist without warning.

(R) "Hey!"

I rolled his sleeve up and saw self-harm, I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

(L) "Why?"
(R) "Let's just talk about it more when we get to your house..."

I started driving home.

We got to my house and I opened the door, no sign of kids. I looked around and saw a note.

"The kids went to their friend's house, they'll be there for a few days"

I turned on the lights and the tv, I walked into the kitchen to get us drinks. I poured wine into two glasses, I walked back out and gave Rhett one.

(L) "Tell me more..."
(R) "Sigh. She's been having bad days and she's taking it out on me, and when she gets drunk she harms me"

(Flashback)

(J) "I wanna cheat on you so badly"
(R) "Why'd you just say that out of nowhere"
(J) "Because I wanna express how I been feeling"
(J) "I want a divorce"
(R) "We have kids"
(J) "Yeah, I'll be taking them too"
(R) "I'm bound to have visitations..."
(J) "No, you won't!"
(J) "You're unstable to be a dad" She was talking out of her ass at this point.
(R) "I'm not but okay..."
(J) "So now you're talking back to me!"
(J) "I can't believe this, you are harassing me"
(R) "Are you drunk"
(J) "Maybe I am!"

She punched me and I stumbled back.

(J) "Punch me back I dare you, Rhett, you'll get arrested"
(R) "I had no intentions too..."

She slapped me and kicked me in the stomach with her foot, I fell and hit the floor.

(J) "Go kill yourself, I'll get money and get to date better men"

(Flashback over)

During the memory, I was telling link about it at the same time.

(R) "She told me to kill myself so she can get money and date better men" I teared up a little
(L) "That's horrible!"
(R) "Yeah..."
(L) "Why'd you put up with it"
(R) "I don't know"
(L) "Do you love her...?"
(R) "No"
