Chapter 13 Christoph's home... I mean Alec's home

(Sorry for not uploading, I've been really busy, then I had family problems and house problems and everything went wrong :/)

Jace stared back at his parabatai and Alec stared back. I looked at Jace's face to try to read his emotions but his usual mask was plastered on his face. Jace placed me down and walked over to Alec and hugged him, Alec hugged him back and they just stood there like that for a few minutes.

Izzy skipped up next to me.
"Ahhh, what a cute bromance" she said teasingly. Jace backed out of the hug and looked daggers at Izzy.
"Shut. Up" he spat. Izzy just giggled.
"We'll let you two get reacquainted then" Izzy quickly pulled me away from the two parabatai.

Jace's P.O.V

As Izzy pulled my beautiful wife away I turned back to Alec, he was looking down at his feet, but quickly looked up.
"I'm sorry... I shut you guys out" he said.
"But why?" My voice came out strained, like I was pleading, this wasn't one of my finest moments.
"Because I was afraid that I would hurt you, hurt everyone. Don't tell me that you didn't freak out when you got your heavenly fire" Alec looked broken.
"Yeah. But I didn't shut myself in a room for months on end" Alec stepped back a bit, as if what I had just said didn't just verbally slap him but physically slapped him. "Look, I'm sorry"
"No. You're right" there was a long silence, an awkward silence, but it was somehow comforting.

"Have you learnt to control your ice powers yet?" I asked him, making sure I sounded casual.
"Yes" he answered abruptly.
"I've missed you Alec" the words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them.
"That sounds really cliché you know" Alec replied trying not to laugh.
"Well I'm a cliché guy" I shrugged.
"That sounds like something that Simon would say. Speaking of Simon, I haven't seen him"
"Maybe because you were locked in your room for a couple of months" Alec shot a look filled with daggers and punched my arm.
"I don't know, apparently he got his own apartment, Izzy and Clary visit there every now and then, but I think he's finishing Shadowhunter school in Idris" I informed Alec.

"JACE. GET YOUR ASS UP HERE NOW!!" I heard Izzy yell from her room. Alec and I looked at each other and shrugged.
"Clary probably won't wear what Izzy's wants her to wear" Alec laughed slightly.
"I've missed Izzy's shenanigans" Alec said smiling to himself.
"God, you were so lucky, she chucked quite a few" Suddenly a puffed out Izzy came rushing down to meet us.
"Jace Herondale you better get your ass up to my room now" she said slightly out of breath.
"No thank you Izzy, I don't want to have glitter in places that I didn't even know existed" I turned my head away from hers. Izzy electrum whip was coiled around my waist fastening my hands against my sides, she tugged the whip towards her, pulling me to face her.
"Listen. To. Me" she said harshly. "If you want your god damn mangoes still attached to your body you better listen up" she uncoiled the whip and I stood up to face her.
"What?" I asked.
"It's Clary. The baby's coming"
