Jackson asked Mark why a boy like him worked at such a place. He thought that he deserved way better.
Marks answer confused Jackson. He said that you can't just quit and if you do, you probably have a death wish and that he club was just the cover of the book.
When Mark wanted to explain he got interrupted by a co-worker. Someone had booked the boy for the rest of the night.
Jackson felt the urge to protect him and he felt horrible for not being able to do so.
