Chapter 22:-

General point of view:

"There's my favorite couple!'' Ralph shouts, entering the cortex.

''Uh...Ralph...'' Jesse stutters.

''Barry and C-''

''Iris!'' Cisco finished, laughing nervously.

''What? Oh....yes of course,'' Ralph realizes.

''Uh...thanks Ralph,'' Barry says looking at Ralph and Cisco weirdly.

Iris glares at them, and Caitlin looks slightly hurt...but Barry notices.

''Where have you been?'' Jesse asks Ralph.

''With a girl.''

''This girl wouldn't happen to be Patty, would it?'' 

''Maybe,'' Ralph smirks.

''Great! Can I talk to you?'' Cisco asks.

''Sure,'' Ralph responds.

Cisco's point of view:

''You want me to flirt with Caitlin again?'' 

''Just to see if Barry will get jealous......please,'' I pleaded.

''Fine,'' he agrees.

''Yes!!!! This is gonna be epic! Come with me....''

General point of view:

Ralph enters the med bay while Cisco is at the exit of the cortex.

''Good evening Caitlin,'' Ralph greets flirtatiously.

''Hi Ralph,'' she glances at Barry.

''You look as beautiful as always.''

''Thanks,'' Caitlin replies stepping closer to Ralph.

''It's working,'' Cisco thought, looking at Barry.

''How would you like to go out on a date with me?'' Ralph whispers, getting closer to Caitlin after each word.

Barry rolls his eyes.

''I have work to do,'' she answers, glancing at Cisco.

''Next time then,'' Ralph walks away, and Barry smiles.

Cisco's point of view:

''He was totally jealous!!!''

''He just needs to remember...''

''Wait a minute...what's going on here?''

I walk into the cortex to see Iris and Caitlin glaring at each other.

General point of view:

''What's going on?'' Cisco asks.

''They've been glaring at each other for about 5 minutes,''  H.R. whispers.

''This witch almost killed me and I'm supposed to act like nothing happened?'' Iris spoke up.

''Wait...when was this?'' Barry asked confusingly.

''When she was Killer Frost,'' H.R. replied.

The rest of the team glared at him.

''She's a monster and always will be!'' Iris screams.

On that note, Killer Frost emerged, ready to fight.

''I thought Killer Frost was taken care of,'' Joe said.

''She is...but this is all Caitlin,'' Cisco replies.

''See!'' Iris shouts angrily.

''I'm not a monster dumb a$$!'' Caitlin snaps.

''That's right! You've constantly been criticizing her, ever since you and Barry broke up!'' Cisco shouts.

''Wait! Broke up? What do you mean?'' Barry asks, confusion all over his face.

''Iris is not your girlfriend Barry,'' Joe says.

''What is going on?'' Barry asks, sounding a bit like Earth 2 Barry.

''That's right. I'm not your girlfriend but...we belong together,'' Iris fake cries.

''No! If we belonged together, we would've never broken up,'' says Barry.

''Fine. Go back to your girlfriend! Go back to Caitlin! You'll just be left with a monster,'' Iris storms out.

''Caitlin? We were....dating?'' Barry asks.

''We'll leave you two alone,'' says Cisco, following everyone else out.

Caitlin's hair and eyes turned back to their natural brown color.

''The baby...it was ours?'' Barry stuttered.

Caitlin nodded and tears welled in her eyes.

''I'm sorry Barry,'' she cried.

''For what?''

''For...losing...our baby,'' she sobbed.

''It's not your fault, Cait.''

He pulled her to his chest and she snuggled up in the crook of his neck.

''It's okay baby. If it makes you feel any better...I'm sorry too.''

''For what?'' she sniffled.

''For not remembering you.''

''It isn't your fault,'' she says looking into his eyes.

''Just like losing our baby isn't your fault.''

She smiles sadly and he does the same.

He places his hand on her cheek and starts leaning in.

''You don't remember yet,'' she says quietly.

''I don't need to,'' he replies and closes the space between them.

He kisses her softly and she kisses back with passion.

He places his other hand on her waist, and her hands go up to mess with his hair.

She pulls away and places her hands on his chest.

They smile at each other and he speeds her to her apartment.

He goes to his apartment, takes a shower and gets into bed.

Tomorrow was gonna be a long day...
