Changes

The Operation.

She sighed for the last time as she looked back at the old apartment.

"Don't worry." He held her hand as she looked back at him and smiled.

"Thank you." She said as Hitomi turned back to them.

"Hurry! Hurry!" She said as she saw Sakura and Naruto waiting at the entrance.

"Hinata!"

"Sasuke!"

They both ran to the other as Hinata and Sasuke let go of each other's hands.

"Are you ready, Hinata?" Sakura said to her as she nodded.

They walked into the hospital where the doctor greeted them.

"Mrs.Uchiha, I'll have you know there are risks to this sort of operation."

"I know." She answered.

"There is a 50-50 chance that this might not go well, after hearing all risks; are you sure you want to go through with this?" He said.

She looked back at her friends, Sasuke, then at Hitomi.

"Sasuke-kun, do you remember our promise?" She said as she turned back around.

"I'll never forget." He said as she wiped her tears and smiled at the doctor.

"I'll go through with the operation." She said as the doctor smiled.

"I will do everything in my power to make sure this operation is successful, don't you worry." He said as he left the room while nurses walked in.

They hooked her to anesthesia as she began to close her eyes slowly.

"See you in a bit." The doctor said as they took her bed into the operating room.

In Session

The green light appeared above the door as they waited outside.

"Naruto and I will get some drinks, do you want anything Sasuke, Hitomi?" Sakura said as Hitomi looked at her dad.

"You could go with them." Sasuke smiled as Hitomi shook her head and ran with them.

Sasuke walked around the hospital until he stopped by a small room where he saw an old woman praying on her knees.

He walked into the small room as he had never been taught religion due to his absence of family.

The small old woman walked to him and smiled.

"You must be new to this sort of thing." She smiled.

"Yes ma'am." He said as she showed him how to put his hands together.

She left him in the room.

Sasuke, Hitomi.

"We're losing her! Hurry!" The surgeon said as the nurse handed him a scalp.

Kamisama, don't take her.

"Syringe!"

"Sasuke?" Naruto cried out as he passed the room then passed again.

"Sasuke!" He saw him pass out.

"Nurse!" Naruto carried him as nurses surrounded him.

"Stay with us, Hinata!" The nurse whispered in her ear.

"Sasuke, passed out from stress." The nurse told Naruto and Sakura as Hitomi looked at them.

"It seems that he was over-worked and with his wife in operation, I could see why he would pass out." The nurse said to him.

"Ah, Hitomi! Don't worry, your mom and dad will be fine." Naruto said to her.

"I know." She said to them.

"Mama and Papa are strong." She smiled at both of them.

"Yea!"

Sasuke felt himself awaken with weary eyes.

"Papa?" Hitomi got off his phone.

"Hitomi. What happened?" He said as he sat up to see himself in a hospital bed.

"You went to sleep." She said as she didn't know the words for fainting.

"I see." He lied back down but then sat up again.

"Your mom!" He looked around as Hitomi smiled.

"Don't worry, papa." Hitomi went to pull the curtain revealing another patient beside him.

"Hinata."

"The operation was successful."
