The lunch bell rings.

I grab my bag and dash out to the school yard.

I reach the little hill
toss my bag to the side
flop down on my back
close my eyes
and take in a deep breath.

The scent of fresh air and grass
with the sun shining on my face.

It brings me calmness.

Suddenly it goes dark.

I open my eyes to a familiar face.

"Lazing around again, I see." he chuckles and lays next to me.

We silently stay still
as the clouds slowly float above us
until my phone beeps.

I answer it without looking at the caller id
dust myself off and grab my bag
as he remains unmoved on the ground.

As I'm about to leave
he catches my wrist.

"Do you have to?" he asks with his gentle deep voice.

"I want too."

Without looking
I brush his hand off
and leave.
