Chapter 28: Nicknames

Mrs. Tsubaki hands me a set
of extra pajamas.

"I hope they fit you,
You've grown so much~" she giggles.

"Thank you." I say kindly
before going to the washroom
to change and wash up.

I knock on Sou's room.

"Yeah?"

"It's me, can I come in?"

"Yup."

I turn the doorknob
and enter his bedroom again.

"Oh come on.. For real?
I'm not seven years old anymore."
I roll my eyes as I see the bright pink
bedsheet with a unicorn pattern
along with matching pillows
and blanket.

He chuckles.

"Thought it'd make you feel more at home.
Plus these were your favourite."

I walk towards the bed
and giggle.

"I just can't believe you
still have these.." I say while
tracing a unicorn on the blanket.

"Mom refused to get rid of them
no matter how many times I told her
to toss them out." He says while climbing
into his bed.

I climb into mine.

"Lights out."

"Okay."

Sou turns off the lamp
and the ceiling lights up
with his glow in the dark stars.

I smile in the dark
while gazing at them.

"Goodnight, Sir Sou~"
I say softly with a giggle.

It's been forever since
I've called him by that.

He chuckles.

"Goodnight, Queen Mio."
