You: i swear, when i said i wanted high school to end as quick as possible, i wasn't expecting the next punch called college to hit me this quick

You: not really, i've been stressing over which college to attend and feeling a bit too pressured
Jonah: have you applied to some?
You: i'm waiting for the exam that determines if i have a chance to take an entrance exam
Zach: so you're waiting for an exam that will make you do another exam?
You: yup
Zach: holy crap that's tough, are you okay? do you need ice cream?
You: that would be nice :')
Jack: im sure you'll do great, you're a smart person, [Y/N]
Corbyn: yeah, and if you don't, happiness doesn't come from grades
You: yeah, but I feel pressured to make my parents proud, it's annoying really but they're paying for my education so i feel as though i owe them this
Daniel: yeah, that's the downside of being a teenager, and especially our generation since college funds are a lot more expensive
Jonah: but you should know that, as long as you're still under the age of being a legal adult, you don't necessarily have to "owe" anything to your parents. yes, it's right to make them proud and happy, but you can't have that mindset that you need to owe them for raising you
Jack: exactly, i mean, we all love our parents and want them to be happy, but when you feel as if you owe them for raising you, then something's not right
Daniel: it's not like WE chose to be born, right? and if you're still under the age of being a legal adult, you don't have to owe them anything
You: i know, i know and im trying to remember that
Corbyn: but you should know that in the end, it is your life [Y/N] and if you aren't happy with what you're doing in your own life then something's wrong. you dont need to think about what your parents say, what your school says or what anybody says because it's always going to be your life, you're controlling what you're going to do, you make your choices
You: gosh, you guys are making me cry
