"Imaam" is someone who leads the prayer in the masjid.
"Surah" is what we call a part of the Quraan. Something like sub-chapters. The "sub-chapters" have names . So the name of some of them are Surah Ebrahim, Surah Yusuf and Surah Yaseen.
"qulluwallahu ahad" is actually the first bit of a very small surah . The surah is really small and is about +- 4 lines.
The joke lies in the fact that the first two men, Ebrahim/Ibrahim and Yusuf, read the whole surah which the imaam asked them too. These surahs are quite long. When the imaam asked the third guy what his name is ,he deliberately said "Yaseen but they call me qulluwallahu ahad" so that he wouldn't have to read a lengthy surah, Surah Yaseen(which he doesn't know ), but rather a shot Surah, the one starting as "qullhuwallahu ahad".
