Lauren was currently pacing up and down the hallway as Camila's doctor told her he would be back in a minute, her heart was racing and her palms were sweaty and every doctor she saw she'd stop pacing but then realise it wasn't hers.

"Miss Jauregui?" Lauren heard a deep voice from behind her and she spun around and there stood Camila's doctor.

"Yeah" lauren said nervously as she studied the doctors facial and body language but couldn't decipher what the expression was.

"Camila's surgery is finished she should be okay and awake in a few hours" the doctor said and Lauren sighed with relief.

"Can I see her?" She asked and the doctor nodded but reminded her once again she was still not awake but Lauren didn't care she just wanted to see her.

Lauren slowly walked into Camila's room and her heart sunk when she saw Camila lying there, all the wires and machines and everything just hurt lauren because she didn't want to see Camila like this.

Lauren sat on the chair and she must have dozed off because she was woke up by someone shaking her shoulder and she opened her eyes and she was met with beautiful brown eyes.

"Hey finally" Camila said with a chuckle and Lauren smiled.

"Omg are you okay? Hi" Lauren said snapping out of her gaze and realising where they were.

"I'm fine" Camila said with a smile but Lauren knew she was in pain, lauren reached for Camila's hand but Camila pulled hers away.

"What's wrong?" Lauren asked and Camila stared at the wall as she sighed.

"We can't be together" Camila said and Lauren felt her heart sink even more.

"What?why?" Lauren asked fighting the tears threatening to fall.

"I'm no good for you" Camila said and Lauren shook her head.

"Yes you are Camila I'm nothing special" lauren said and Camila snapped her head around to look at the girl with a shocked expression.

"Nothing special really Laur? You are special" Camila said and Lauren shook her head.

"If I was special you wouldn't leave" Lauren said and Camila's eyes wandered.

"It's not that simple lauren I'm doing it to protect you" Camila said and Lauren shook her head.

"I don't need protected Camila" Lauren said and Camila's eyes rolled.

"My own father shot me and my mother saw you I need you to be safe because you are special.... you're special to me" Camila said and Lauren didn't look convinced.

"Obviously not" she snapped back and Camila looked at her.

"You are Lauren" Camila said trying not to gush her emotions out to lauren but her will power was weakening.

"Clearly" lauren replied sarcastically and Camila scoffed.

"Really lauren? You literally are the only thing I value in my life, when we are apart all I can think about is when I'm going to see you next and I feel like I'm missing the better half of me when I'm not with you. You make me a better person. You're beautiful and amazing and you push me to be better and that's what I needed. You give me a reason to wake up in the morning and when I wake up all I can think is what did I do to get this lucky? I feel lucky even when I only get a fraction of your attention Lo. You know how to make me laugh and smile and make me happy. You are the only one who can tell how I'm feeling without me actually saying what I'm feeling and I've never had this before" Camila gushed and Lauren stood there with her mouth agape at the words that slipped out of Camila's mouth.

"So please lauren don't think you aren't special to me but please let me protect you" Camila begged and Lauren shook her head.

"Protecting me means I can't be with you Camila" lauren said and Camila nodded and tears began running down Lauren's cheeks as she ran out of Camila's room.

Camila lay there hating her mother more than ever, the one good thing Camila finally found and her mother drove it out of her life but not for the first time. 

Camila slept she didn't want to have to deal with thinking about how she hurt Lauren and how the girl probably hates her with a passion right about now.

Camila would have slept all day if it wasn't for Normani and Dinah coming in and waking her up.

"Hey" Normani said and Camila just forced a smile and Dinah cocked her head to the side studying the girl.

"What's wrong?" Dinah asked and Camila looked at the floor for a minute before looking up at the girl.

"I'm just tired" she lied and Dinah knew she lied.

"Liar" Dinah said and Camila looked at her with a forced smile.

"What?" She asked and Dinah crossed her arms.

"What's wrong?" Dinah pressed sternly and Camila caved.

"I had to let Lauren go" she admitted and Normani looked at the girl.

"Why?" Normani asked and Camila sighed.

"My mom and dad are back and I need to make sure Lauren is safe" Camila said and Dinah admired her for her actions.

"That's a sweet thing to do" Dinah said and Camila nodded.

"But stupid" Normani added and Dinah and Camila looked at her confused.

"One day when you see her she could be with another guy, she will be holding his or her hand and that person took your chance. She won't notice you because she will be to caught up in what the person is saying and laughing at their jokes and that will kill your heart because you will see that smile on her face but the fact is it'll will be them putting the smile on her face and not you and that's when it'll hit you that it was her and you constantly made excuses to push her away because you were scared." Normani said and it hit Camila that Normani was right.

"I know" Camila mumbled and Normani looked at her.

"Clearly not or otherwise she would be here Camila" Normani said quite harshly.

Meanwhile Lauren was in her room sobbing into ally's arms.

"It's okay lauren" Ally said trying to calm the girl down but failed.

"Is it?" Lauren asked and ally nodded.

"One day you will learn to love yourself better than she did and Lauren you were someone before Camila entered your life, before she entered your life you were a fully and happy and complete person and you'll remain to be one once she leaves because you'll realise she didn't complete you" Ally said and Lauren sobbed harder.

Lauren fell asleep crying into ally's arms. 

Camila fell asleep alone and that's when she realised that's what she was alone.
