Shaking off the strange encounter with the die. I wandered up to the bathroom and stripped off the dirt covered clothes I slept in while I was with the brothers.

I decided to draw myself a nice warm bath to farther clean myself and relax before the work day tomorrow.

Sinking down into the porcelain tub unfortunately lets my mind wander. Into a not to bright and cheerful place. Ugh... so much for relaxing.

Cleaning myself up quickly I grabbed my towel and headed out of the bathroom towards my bedroom to change. Passing by the same old covered up and dusty photos and frames that line the many hallways of my small house.

Taking a glance at the clock, now reading 7 pm, I decided to make myself a quick meal and hit the hay. So I would be well rested for the next day. Totally not to avoid reliving any bad memories that could crop up if I am left alone for to long with my thoughts hahaha! ...

Anyways, I walked back downstairs. Passing a few more photos and through my small living room to the kitchen and fired up the stove to make a quick meal of eggs and ham. I always loved eggs and ham, mom would make them every Sunday before... before... NO.

I slammed the stove off and put the eggs back in the fridge.

"Wasn't hungry anyways." I mumbled to myself as I wandered into the living room to listen to the radio.

I turned the radio on and laid down on the couch and closed my eyes, listening to the monotone voice of the announcer drone on about finances and stocks. Which were both things that I didn't care about and didn't need to care about now the I was on Inkwell.

Smiling I remembered that Dad would always worry over money, he always... stop it.

I turned off the radio and buried my head under the pillow my head rested on. Sleep. Sleep is good. Silence and sleeping.

So I forced my eyes to close and fell asleep. But my thoughts wouldn't let me rest easy.

---

Darkness.

All my dreams start this.

I'm a child again, playing with my toys in the yard like I always did back home in the states. The sun beaming though the leaves of the tree we had by a rather small garden of daisies and black eyed susans.

My parents came outside with a plate of fresh cut watermelon and apple juice for me to snack on while they went about their day. Father would be inside doing paperwork. He did work in a bank after all. And mother would be making dinner for the family, despite her large pregnant belly preventing her from doing heavy lifting.

I would have had a baby brother a month later. If that day hadn't gone so very wrong.

Something happened in my fathers study I was told later. A fire. No one knew how it happened but the next thing I knew. My house was up in flames, mother was screaming for me to run. The firemen holding my back as I tried to get to her.

Nothing remained but ash.

I was moved to a foster home not to far away. We would drive past the smoldering lot every day on our way home from school. I would cry silently in the back seat as I lamented the life I used to have. With watermelon and apple juice. With mother and father.

The people who took me in tried their best, and I cared for them. But they were never family to me. All I had was mom and dad and now they were gone.

I moved as far away as I could from that town, from those memories and that move lead me to Inkwell. Where I stay now.

---

Gasping for breath I woke with a silent cry. Sobbing into my hands I noticed it was dark. Slowly I stood up and went upstairs to my room to wait out the night. Who needs sleep anyways?

Wow ok that was edgy. Geez.

Ok I am sure you all picked up on this but I haven't really been all that inspired to write this story. I have been more into Destiny and Wakfu to be honest because there was some new content just made.

I will still update soon I just want to enjoy some other fandoms for a little while. Until then I hope you have a great day. :)
