"you're ridiculous, michael." luke smiled, shaking his head.

"i'm being serious! her tits are abnormally large!"

"shut up. she's probably sitting at the front desk!" luke hissed quietly, not being able to hold back a small giggle.

"oh, stop worrying. she's helping some girl in the kids section." michael smiled. "and it's not like she could hear us even if she was at the desk. she's, like, a million years old!"

luke laughed quietly, running a hand through his messy hair. it had been a while since anybody (besides calum) had even got a smile out of him.

the past few days, luke and michael had been spending a lot of time together at the library.

and as much as luke hated to admit, he enjoyed michael's company.

but he was still annoying.

"what are you listening to?" michael questioned, resting his chin in his hand.

"music."

michael groaned, pulling his beanie over his face a little.

"are we seriously going back to this?" he pouted.

luke couldn't help but let a small smile make it's way onto his face.

"bloodstream by ed sheeran," luke stated, offering michael the other unoccupied headphone.

michael took it willingly and slipped it in his ear.

a few moments passed by as they listened to luke's playlist, one by one, neither of them talking.

"i've come to a conclusion," michael stated, taking the headphones from both of their ears as they were in the middle of a song.

luke scoffed as he took it out, but didn't bother to try to get it back.

"and what is that?" luke asked, pulling down the sleeves of his sweater over his knuckles and bunching them up in his fists.

"you aren't a complete asshole. congratulations." michael smiled, ruffling luke's hair.

luke laughed half-heartedly and waved michael's hand away from him.

"why do you say that?" he asked curiously.

"they say your playlist defines who you are. so i have decided, you make yourself out to be the huge dick so that you won't have to let people in," michael stated, adjusting his beanie.

luke scoffed and shook his head.

"i am not. you're so annoying!" luke defended, crossing his arms over his chest.

he reached for the cane that was propped against the table and gripped it tightly before standing up.

"see! you're doing it right now," michael sighed, standing up to follow luke.

he walked his way across the library, michael following shortly behind.

"doing what?" luke snapped, turning around unsteadily to where he was facing the direction michael was following him.

"pushing me away," michael snapped back, unexpectedly.

both of them fell silent after that. luke sighed softly before turning away from michael, but not advancing towards the door.

"it's not going to work, you know," michael said, his voice coming out softer than it did before.

"what's not going to work?" luke questioned, not turning around.

"all your efforts to push me away. i'm not giving up that easily." michael smiled softly, putting his hand on luke's shoulder.

he turned back to face michael slowly.

"then i guess i'll have to try harder," he smirked.

okay i'm going to rant because i am just pissed off.

adding "no offense" to an insult doesn't make it okay. if you even thought it was going to offend me, you shouldn't have wrote it. that's like me saying to you, "you're an ugly, judgmental piece of shit. no offense though!"

if you have something rude to say about my writing, you message me. you don't comment on my story that i spent a lot of time working on and act like a dick face.

i probably sound like a bitch omg im sorry but i just get so frustrated i love you all okay

im sorry
