You know how in winter it gets so cold, you think you'll never experience warmth again and in summer it gets so hot, you think you'll never be cold again?
I think that is how it is with our feelings. You think you'll never be happy when you're sad and that you'll never be sad when you're happy.
But, summers and winters come again. You will be sad again and, most of all, you'll be happy again.

There are some joys in life that can only be felt due to hardship. Just like, it takes a cold day, or sickness, for someone to experience the joy of a hot shower. You can't enjoy it in the heat. Then there's the joy of a fulfilling sleep, often achieved through a tiring day and the joy of reunion, achieved through separation.
Sometimes difficulty carries a special range of joys and that's something to be thankful about!
