     "you what?"

"love you," jungkook whispers again, looks straight, bold and promising. "i love you.. so fucking much." he has his palms pressed against older's cheeks, his thumbs wiping them.

jimin cannot look away, he has his eyes on younger and he can't believe what he just heard. "no," his mutters, so low, so meek, it's almost inaudible.

"i do." jungkook smiles, his eyes full and at edge. he's happier than he has ever been, finally letting out the truth. it feels good and all he wants is to kiss jimin.

"jungkook," jimin breathes while his hands find their place on older's which are on his won cheeks. jungkook almost leans in but jimin pulls his hands off his face. "you can't."

the younger boy frowns, disappointed and confused. "what?" he asks. "you don't want me to kiss you?"

"no," jimin whines, sighs, his body slouches. there is regret written all over his face. "not that."

"then what?" jungkook asks again, now more concerned. jimin says nothing but his eyes, they plead. "i won't know until you tell me, baby."

"you did this to yourself." jungkook frowns, turns around to see jackson running a hand through his hair, pissed off.

"what the hell do you mean?" jungkook stands up, leaves jimin and towards jackson. "you," he pokes at older's chest. "have done enough damage. can you leave already?" his voice spits venom and his eyes almost ready to kill.

"i warned you," jackson says, shrugs and leaves jungkook all confused.

"what the fuck," jungkook mutters under his breath. he walks to jimin who is now standing up. "i hate him so much."

"jungkook," jimin whispers, his voice low and jungkook is now getting irritated.

"you don't have to reciprocate my feelings. i just wanted to tell you how i feel. you don't have to say it back," jungkook says, voice unstable and slightly pissed.

"i don't believe in love," jimin finally says, his eyes fixed at one corner of the room.

     "you think i'm lying to―"

"no," jimin cries. he feels helpless. "i don't believe in love."

jungkook frowns, steps closer to him. "why?" his voice softer yet angrier. "it's the most beautiful thing that can happen to―"

"it's not!" the boy yells, his voice cracking. "if it was.. my parents would've been together still. my father would've been alive!" he cries harder and jungkook cannot do anything.

"w-what?" jungkook mutters, confused and hurt. it hurts to look at someone you care for cry like that.

"my mum cheated. wasting all those years just like that. she loved him. i saw it. she truly did," he mumbles, low and weak. "but one day, she didn't. she had been sleeping with someone for almost an year. he was devastated. my dad.. he couldn't believe it." his hiccups and sniffs, wipes his nose with the sleeve of his sweater. "i lost both of my parents at twelve. i was young, small but i knew then that love did nothing but destroy." jimin looks up, at jungkook, his eyebrows one. "you love me now. someday you won't. and i can't fall further."

"further?" jungkook whispers, walks closer to the boy and holds him tight. "you can fall as far in as you want because i am never letting you go. i love you and always wi―"

"you're saying it. they had it written on official papers," jimin mumbles, his face tilted up, his forehead almost touching older's chin.

"jimin," younger breathes. he can't let go, he doesn't want to and he won't. "don't say that."

"i can't do this," jimin says, leans so his lips touch taller's chin. "we're not doing this. i'm sorry, i can't fall further in."

jungkook says nothing. he does nothing. he looks as the boy he loves, leaves along with his heart that's hanging down his sleeve.

and does he want it back? no, he doesn't. it's not his for keeping. at least not anymore.

please take care of it
