ONCE UPON A TIME, In a kingdom named Wawanakwa, there lived a Handsome King named Trent and his equally beautiful Queen, Gwen. They were kind people and were well liked rulers. They also had a troublemaking delinquent son named Duncan, who was very selfish and only cared for himself. His parents, appalled at his behavior, tried to guide him on the right path, but Duncan would never listen. He loved no one, not even his gracious parents. One day, a powerful Fairy named Dawn saw this through her glass mirror and traveled with her husband Scott to Wawanakwa to teach Duncan a lesson.

"Wait here, Scott. If he sees you, he will question me."

And with that, she walked up the long road to the majestic castle. On her walk, she transformed herself into a hideous peasant woman. When she reached the castle, she knocked on the door to find Prince Duncan staring at her.

"Whatcha want peasant?" Duncan cruelly barked.

"Excuse me kind sir, I was traveling to your plentiful kingdom when I was stopped by a storm. I wish to seek refuge here, even a barn would suffice."

"Never would the Prince of Wawanakwa offer housing to a mere peasant. Out of my sight!" With that, he slammed the door.

"Not so fast!" Duncan turned around and was shocked to find Dawn at the door, now back in her true beautiful from.

"You are a cruel person. You need to learn a lesson. You will be kept in this castle until your 21st birthday, in the form of a frightening beast. If you not can love a woman and in turn earn her love, you will remain a beast forever," Dawn proclaimed.

"I will give you two magical items. The first, a rose, which will continue to bloom until your 20th birthday. At that date it will begin to loose its peats until the day of your next birthday, when the last petal falls. The second is a enchanted mirror, which you can use to see the outside world. Everyone in the castle will be turned into an object. They will, however, be able to talk. I wish you the best of luck."

And with that, Dawn walked out the door, leaving a shocked Duncan in a beastly form, howling in rage.
