COURTNEY POV

I was collecting the eggs to keep my mind of Papa. He should have been back by now. That's when I heard a neigh and saw Rodney galloping towards me. I was shocked. Why, you may ask? That's because Rodney didn't have a rider.

"Rodney? Where's papa!"

Of course, he gave no response, since he is indeed a horse. I climbed on his back and hurried I to the woods. After riding for a good 6 hours, I saw a castle through the trees. I hurried to the gate and ran to the door. I knocked on the door with the heavy knocker and after no response, swung the door open.

"Hello???" I impatiently called out. "I'm here to see if you know where my father is. Come on, someone AWNSER ME!"

Then, I head a slight call from a set of stairs that led to what looked like a dungeon.

"Papa?" I yelled "I'm coming, Papa!"

I ran down the stairs to were I saw my father in a drenched cloak inside of a cell.

"Belle!" He gasped, catching his breath and shivering.

I as about to say something back when I heard footsteps.

"So, your daughter did come back then?" An incredibly sexy voice said.

I turned around to see a eight foot tall beast wearing nothing but a ripped at shirt and shorts with a skull on them. I hate to admit it, but even as a beast hew as kind of devilishly handsome with black fur and a ripped physique.

"What do you want with my father? And what do you mean, I came back?" I questioned.

"Well, you and your, 'papa' here had a bet going to se if you would come back to rescue him. Since you did, you father here is going to have some bad news. He doesn't get to go free."

That asshole. I thought for a moment and then decided to come up with the best deal I could.

"How about I take his place?"

"What?" The beast looked surprised. "You'd do that, for your father?"

"Of course, don't you love your parents?"

"I don't have any. They drowned at sea."

"Wait, didn't the king and queen-"

"Yes, we'll continue this talk later. Old man, you can go." You, princess, are staying here, with me."

He smirked. Oh how I hate it when guys-well, in this case beasts, try to woo me. It never works.

"My name is Courtney, and I expect you to use it."

"Sure thing, princess."

He let my father out and shoved him out the door.

"Geoff, escort the old man to the door, please."

He then threw me over his back like a sack of potatoes.

"Oh, look, there's a cell right here for you! Well, I hope it's comfy cause that where you'll be staying-" he was cut off by a screech.

"DUNCAN! Where are your manners? Give her an actual room, since she'll be here for a while."

I turned my headaround to find a yellow teapot.

Duncan sighed. "Fine, LeShawna. Show her to her room. Night, Princess."

He then put me down. He was so rude.

I followed the purple teapot to my room.

"Here you go! It's fit for a princess! Well, okay, so it actually did belong to the queen, but that was forever ago. May she rest in peace. I never did catch your name dear, what is it?"

"Oh, it's Courtney. How are you-"

"Talking? Oh honey, I shouldn't be telling you this, but the master, Duncan, is under a spell that was put on him by a good enchantress to make him learn to love and not be so selfish all the time. By his twenty first birthday, which, is in a month, by the way, he has to earn a girls love and love her back. That's never gonna happen. Let me tell ya. Not in a million years."
