"i'm so happy and so in love with you," dan said as he watched a silent tear roll down phil's cheek. they swayed to the music under the spotlight they were given, paying no attention to the many eyes watching them while they moved. "this whole first dance as newlyweds thing is great and all but i really want more cake."
"i can't believe you love cake more than me," phil tried his best to sound offense as his husband eyed the food table to see how many slices of cake were left, but failed when the fondness seeped through. "you're literally dan lester and i can't believe it. i think i'm going to be crying for the next twenty years."
dan rested his forehead against phil's, moving one of his hands to lightly cup his jaw and run his thumb over phil's bottom lip, "we're married. it feels like it was literally yesterday we were pretending we didn't have feelings for each other."
"and now we're starting a whole new adventure together."
