~Two Weeks Later~
"Evie, honey, hurry up. Mommy has to get to work." Kara says impatiently. She's been running around all morning trying to get everything ready.
"Alright Mommy." Evie says, using her super speed to run back upstairs and grab a light jacket.
"No, Evie how many times do I need to tell you not to use your superpowers?" Kara asks. Evie stands there, uncertain as to whatQ to say.
"Come one, we got to go so I can get off work early." Kara says rushing Evie and Logan to the car.
"You're coming to my piano recital?" Evie asks excitedly.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world. Uncle Clark even said he'd come." Kara replies.
"Is Aunt Alex and Uncle Winn coming too?" Evie asks hopeful. Everyday since their unplanned meeting, all Evie's been doing is asking Kara if they can go and see Alex and Winn again.
"No honey, they can't make it." Kara explains. Evie sighs disappointed. Kara picks up Logan and grabs Evie's hand. She walks them out to the car and helps them both in. She quickly drops Evie off at kindergarten and Logan at daycare before pulling into the Planet parking lot. She gets out, grabbing her purse and speed walks into the building.
"Kara!" Someone greets from behind her. Kara turns around and sees Clark walking up to her with a woman walking with him.
"Hey!" Kara says greeting her cousin. "Who's this?" Kara asks focusing her attention to the tan woman standing beside Clark.
"Jane Jackson." The woman says shaking Kara's hand.
"Hi, I'm Kara Danvers." Kara says politely.
"You used to work for CatCo, right?" Jane questions. Kara nods, she had been recognized as the girl from CatCo ever since she moved to Metropolis.
"Jane is our newest reporter. I was just showing her around and helping her meet everyone." Clark explains.
"How courteous of you." Kara says. "Well I better get to work if I ever plan on getting to Evie's piano recital on time, which you're coming to." Kara states, pointing at Clark. He nods and Kara goes off to work. There wasn't really anything interesting going on in Metropolis. Superman hadn't had any amazing saves since crime has been down. Kara just reported on boring things. Her day was pretty mundane until a certain voice came into hearing.
"Is that Keira Danvers?" The familiar blonde asks walking up to Kara. Kara looks away from her screen and sees her old boss, Cat Grant.
"Ms. Grant! How are you?" Kara stands up from her desk and walks over to the older woman.
"I'm great. It's been awhile. If I would've known you moved here, I would've come visit more often." Cat explains.
"To be fair, I didn't tell many people where I moved." Kara says. She may have stretched the truth, she hadn't told anyone where she moved.
"How have you been Keira? It's been just about six years since you left." Cat asks her old assistant.
"You've kept track?" Kara asks, surprised.
"Of course I did. I did care about you, you know that right?" Kara nodded, not sure as to wether or not she actually believed herself. Kara looks just pass the blonde to peek at the time.
"Crap." Kara mumbles under her breath, and hurried back over to her desk.
"What? What's happening?" Cat asks, fearing she might've done something wrong.
"It's nothing. My daughter has a piano recital in like thirty minutes." Kara admits.
"Your daughter?" Cat asks, surprised. "I didn't know Keira Danvers was a mother." Cats states.
"Many people from National City don't know. I had only told one person before I left." Kara explains, guilt rising within her.
...
Kara cheered as Evie finished her final song. Evie stood up from her bench and took a bow. As promised, Clark and Lois came to Evie's recital, Cat had even decided to tag along. Evie comes over to Kara and Logan runs up to her and engulfs her into a hug.
"You did so good sissy!" He says. Kara smiles at her two kids before walking over to them.
"Great job Baby! I'd say this calls for some celebratory ice cream." Kara says, winking.
"Can we join?" Clark asks, walking over to her cousin.
"Well, Evie is it okay if Uncle Clark joins us?" Kara asks her daughter. Evie nods smiling. "Alright, lets go."
