21. Eva

"Don't worry Eva, I was way ahead of you." Whispered Skylar. "When he first got here, I could see the love for you in his eyes. I've formulated a plan for you two to escape, but you've got to be quick." mumbled Skylar under his breath.

Skylar quickly gave me rough details of his ridiculous scheme and told me to
"284! I saw that on the way here" I whispered to myself. I ran up to his cell to see him in the corner of his prison in deep thought.

"Liam," I whispered through the bars. His head instantly snapped in my direction.

"Eva! What are you doing here?" He stuttered, perplexed by the gracing of my appearance.

"I'm getting you out of here!" I said, fumbling for the key in my bottomless pit of a handbag. I swear there's a black hole in there somewhere.
"Yes!" I silently cheered and I got his cage unlocked.

"Okay so, I'm sure Skylar has already briefed you with the plan right? I said.

"Yes! It's ridiculous! How is this going to ever work?" He sighed.

"With positivity and fast running," I said, quickly making my way to the exit, Liam running close behind me.

Sky was right about this route being completely dead. We ran for miles through a deciduous forest till we reached a main road. Liam and I walked across the deserted road for what seemed like hours till we heard the screeching sirens of a police car not to far behind.

"In the ditch!" I whispered, pulling him to the side of the road. We hid impatiently and soon enough, around half a dozen police cars raced across the highway followed by two large police vans.

"That's a bit over the top if they're trying to catch me. I'm one man, not a whole army am I?" Chuckled Liam. He made me laugh too, no matter how hard I tried to resist.

"Focus here! There's a cabin just under a mile away. Deep in the forest on the top of a cliff. It's got the most beautiful view," I sighed thinking of the gorgeous view from upon the Rocky Mountain.

After a while more of walking we finally came to the wooden log cabin. "I want to show you something," I whispered in Liam's ear as I held his hand and led him to the cliff's edge.

"Wow! Look at this breathtaking view Liam," I said, staring at the picturesque view of the sun setting on the bustling city below, a great big sky full of bright pinks and oranges above us.

"I know you are," Liam looked me straight in the eye and grasped my hands in his as I turned to face him. "Evangeline, I love you so much and I know I've only know you for two months and a lots happened but I love to a new level, and I can't imagine a single second of my life without you. I can't go another day without calling you my wife. Evangeline will you marry me?" He said going down on one knee.

(Liam POV)....

I admired her as she looked out to the city. I can't help it, I can't wait a second longer. I knew from the moment I met her, she was special, and now is the time.

I faced her before the sunset and gave my proposal on one knee, speaking my heart for the very first time. Please say yes! Please say yes! Please say yes!

(Eva's POV)...
