promoting books here and there.

hello there! after a long time, i've finally found a topic i want to rant about.

so you guys have probably seen some people promoting their books on your wall, or messaging you privately, etc.

some give votes to one of your books and then promote their book on one's wall.

don't you find that disrespectful?

like, okay, we know readers are important but get them naturally, if you get what i mean lol.

readers are the inspiration for most of the writers but why do you promote your books like that?

i mean, let your book be discovered by itself! if you're confident in your writing and your book, then don't promote! it'll get attention sooner or later if you update it at least 2 times a week.

you can promote your books on your wall or book but do not do it on other's!

when people promote their books on my wall, i get a mixed feeling and be like uwu

+ some of those books aren't even well-written ; ^ ; i believe there are many good writers and you're one of them but do not promote , please.

just join a contest or smth or socialize coz y'know, you gotta have friends 💕

[omg true and i find it lowkey disrespectful¿ coz they like, vote on some chapters of your book and then be like hoI m8 pls blah blah promotion and such they be like, I did you a favour, now you do me one but honestly, reading a book is a choice it's not like you're gonna read each and every book in this universe

and if you're underrated and your book is not getting attention, then be patient or socialize; it's always good to have friends. it's not like you'll get 1K reads in a day unless you're a famous hoe.

Imagine that moment your books get attention without promoting here and there-- what a great feeling!]
