Under the dulcet cherry blossom
There lies a tale of two lovers
Who's honeydew minds spout oceans of tranquility
The roots of the elysian plant brought them together

Together they crouch their porcelain bones covered by their cocoa skin
By the lotus pond a little before dusk
When the jaded sky is cascaded in hues of soft magentas and warm apricot

The man asked why she comes here everyday to drink from the pond
For which she responded with

"This is merely more than a pond, it's a life force that holds meanings our ancestors instilled upon us"

She scooped her hand in the flowing water
Careful not to disturb any koi fish scavenging for their midday meal
With the white lotuses in hand she proceeded to say

"As a I cradle this in the palm of my hand I become awakened, not the kind of awakened you recieve from a night's rest, but instead the one you receive as mental purity and spiritual perfection."

"As I hold this lotus I feel myself getting closer to this Earth, for its veins run through me and as an act of gratitude I must immerse myself into it's symphonic being"

She placed the lotus petal between her eyebrows to act as a third eye
So her divine energy could be shown
She then proceeded to ask why he drinks from the lotus pond
He then gracefully picks up the blue lotus that was partially open and says

"You see how this is the only lotus that is never fully open, that's because it represents the continual need to gain wisdom, learn, and expand the mind. In order for me to be more connected to this Earth that has provided me with the tools I need in order to grow."

With that he did the same as the girl
And placed the petal between his unruly eyebrows
With that they sat and conversed about the teachings they instilled upon each other
Their love blossomed into something ethereal

Each day they sat and meditated together
With a red lotus in their lap
Representing their love and compassion for each other
With an unwillingness to depart
