Rae's dad is someone who would yell at you for spilling milk. He hates Rae's friends, Rae's clothes, and Rae. In the middle of one of his temper tantrums, Rae finds a way to escape.

On her dash to the other side of the world, Rae meets a boy. A special boy. She convinces him to run with him on a race to escape their normal lives. This boy's name is Kyungsoo.
