"You got bit by a Spider?" Ned asks while me, him and Peter walk to School. Peter's telling us about how he got his... abilities. And basically everything that's happened ever since and why he's been repeatedly losing his backpack, books and notebooks. And how he lost them again. Aunt May made him carry his stuff this time instead of buying him another backpack.
"Can it bite me?" Ned asks. "Well, it probably would've hurt right? You know, whatever. Even if it did hurt, I'd let it bite me. Maybe. How much did it hurt?" Ned says, asking question after question. "The Spider's dead, Ned." Peter says. We take a few more steps before slowly coming to a stop, looking at Delmar's store.
It's completely wrecked. Peter said he was here last night, and that thankfully, no one got hurt. Except for him. But no bruises or anything. "Woah. You were here?" Ned asks. "Yeah." Peter answers. "You could've died." Ned says as we keep on observing the place. "Do you lay eggs?" Ned asks and me and Peter look at him.
"What? No." Peter says, answering Ned's question with a somewhat embarrassed chuckle. "Come on, let's go to School." Peter says. We start walking again but I stop them. "Wait, let's go in there." I say, pointing at a shoe and backpack store across the street. "You want another backpack?" Ned asks.
"No, it's for Peter." I say. "I don't need a new backpack." Peter says and I give him a 'really?' look and then look down at his pile of books and notebooks before looking back up at him. "I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that. Come on." I say. "No, it's okay, I'm fine." He says a little too quickly.
