When Daniel proposed to you two months ago in Disneyland, you knew he was the one. His positive outlook on life. His bright blue eyes that you could get lost in. He was everything you wanted. He was your soulmate. And you couldn't wait to spend the rest of your life with him.
Stepping into Kleinfield Bridal for your first dress fitting, you thought, "This is it. I'm getting married." You still couldn't believe that after you only knowing Daniel for a year, here you are with a beautiful diamond ring sitting on your left ring finger. You scanned the store, seeing a few other brides getting fitted and others chatting or looking over the many, many dresses on the hangers. You ran your hand over one of the dresses on display closest to you. It was silky, smooth, and covered in lace. It's a bit too much, you thought, playing with the fabric.
"Why, hello there." You turn around to meet the person who had just greeted you. Randy Fenoli, the fashion director of the esteemed bridal store. "My name is Randy. Which one of you is my bride?"
"That would be me," you raised your hand. He smiled and shook you firmly by the hand.
"What's your name, dear?"
"(Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N)."
"And who is it that you're marrying?"
You smiled just at the thought of the amazing man you would be walking down the aisle to in five months, "Daniel Seavey."
Randy gasped, "Daniel Seavey? In the band Why Don't We, right?" You nod your head. "So how did you lovebirds meet?"
"In Times Square. I was a street dancer and about to finish for the night when he decided to join me for the last dance. It was love at first sight. He stole my breath away," you recount the story with a small blush painted on your face.
"So, where's the wedding going to be?"
"Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards. We both love the outdoors and the beautiful colors of fall. It's going to be very romantic and a little country chic."
"And who have you brought with you today?"
"I brought Anna, Daniel's sister and my maid of honor, Keri, my future mother-in-law, and my best friend (B/F/N)." You gestured to them as you introduced them to Randy. Your mother couldn't come because she was too busy at work. You rarely saw her anymore. You were lucky if you could get her to pick up the phone once a week. The relationship between you two was slowly deteriorating.
"And, what type of dress are you looking for?" Randy questioned.
"I want a white dress with a jeweled bodice and a relatively simple skirt (A/N feel free to change up the design of the dress. This is the dress that I want so it was easiest to describe for this imagine). I tend to keep an open mind when it comes to this sort of thing."
"Do we have a price range?"
"About $5,000."
"I think we're set then. (Y/N), if you'll follow my assistant Rosanne to the fitting rooms, I'll go choose some dresses for you. The rest of you ladies, follow we and we'll get you comfortable."
A few minutes later, you undressed and already changed into a soft robe. Randy knocked on the door, asking if you were decent. After about an hour, you had tried on about 6 different dresses, not satisfied with any of them. You just couldn't see yourself walking down the aisle in them. You were slowly beginning to lose hope that you would find your perfect dress.
When Randy came in for the hundredth time, he carried in about four dresses. Immediately, your eyes were drawn to one of the dresses in his left hand. It was a Queen Anne ballgown dress with a bejeweled lacy bodice and a skirt that flared from the sides. It had maybe a foot or two of trail behind it and an open back. You couldn't stop looking at it. It was perfect.
"That one." You told Randy before he even put them all on the rack. He gently pulled it off the rack and handed it to Rosanne who would help you put it on. Randy reentered the room when you were done. You hadn't looked in the mirror yet, keeping your eyes shut tight. Quite frankly, you were scared. What if it wasn't everything you dreamed of? What if it was like the rest? What if it wasn't perfect?
"Okay. Look now."
You immediately started tearing up a little. It perfectly molded to your body shape, hugging the right curves in the right places. It felt right.
"Do you want to show everyone?" Randy asked, gently taking your hand. You nodded in excitement, still not able to peel your eyes away from the dress.
You made your way to the stand outside where Keri, Anna, and (B/F/N) were sitting.
"Would you like to turn around?" Randy helps you turn around to face the three ladies you brought. Anna didn't say anything, jaw dropped open. Keri began to cry. (B/F/N) was jumping up and down in her seat, nodding her head so fast that you were afraid it would break.
"Would you like to put on a veil to see the complete look?" Randy asked. You nodded and a few minutes later, he brought back a gorgeous, sheer veil and placed it in the bun you made with your hair.
"Ladies, what do we think?"
"That's the one." Anna said, (B/F/N) agreeing with her.
You nervously turn to Keri, "What do you think?"
She was still lightly crying with a big smile on her face, "I can't believe it. My baby boy and you are going to get married. I couldn't be prouder of both of you." You let out a few tears and turned back around to look in the mirror.
"(Y/N), what do you think?
You inhaled and exhaled once, "This is the dress that I'm going to start a new chapter of my life in. It's simple, but an attention grabber." You turn back around to face Randy. "How much is this dress?"
"It's a Justin Alexander dress that comes to the price of... " He dramatically paused for effect. "$3,450!"
Everyone cheered in happiness as you continued to smile at the mirror.
You couldn't wait to get married to the one and only Daniel Seavey.
