CHAPTER 12

 

BELLA P.O.V

 

I woke up without Jacob. I should have known I was going to, vampire business. It always sucked that it always got in the way of us but I knew what I was getting into when we got married. The phone began to ring then.

“Hey Honey. Did you get home safe?” My mom asked into the phone.

“Yup. I wouldn’t be answering the phone if I didn’t.” I laughed.

“That’s very true.” She laughed. “Did you guys have fun?” She asked. “You didn’t sleep in our room did you?” She asked.

“Yes we had fun and no we did not even look in your room.” I answered her.

“That’s good. What’s Jacob up to?” She asked.

“He’s at work. He went in a little early.” I said as I looked at the clock and realized it was almost noon. “Or maybe I slept very late.”

“That’s good. You need sleep.” She answered.

“Crap. I was suppose to call Alice as soon as I woke up. I have to go.”

“Okay honey. I love you.”

“Love you too, Mom.” I said before hanging up and texting Alice. She said she was coming over. Of course I couldn’t even shower and change before she was here. “God damn Alice.”

“Don’t talk about God like that.” She said.

“Will you braid my hair?” I asked.

“Sure.” I knew she wasn’t going to say no. I sat down on the chair in front of the long mirror we had in our bedroom. “How was your night?” She asked.

“It was good. I’m always so tired though.” I said.

“Yeah that happens sometimes.” She said as she raked her fingers through my damp hair. “I brought you some breakfast that Esme made.”

“Cool thanks.” She finished rather quickly and we both headed down the stairs. “Did you happen to see Jacob today?” I asked.

“Yeah he stopped by to talk to Edward but they both left and I didn’t see them after that.”

“Okay.” I answered.

“Bella? Are you wearing a bra?” She asked. As to why she was asking that I don’t know.

“No my boobs hurt. The last time my bobs hurt I was pregnant.” She was silent. “No I can’t be.” I said shocked looking at her.

“But you are.” She said smiling. “Two weeks.” She said.

“Oh my gosh! Are you serious? You’re kidding right?” I asked.

“Of course I’m not kidding. Why would I ever do that to you?” She asked.

“Jake is going to be so excited!” I said. I wanted to call him right now but I knew he was probably doing something important. “I need to tell him.” I said as I dialed his number.

“What’s wrong?” He asked into the phone as soon as he picked up.

“Nothing. Are you coming home for lunch we need to talk.” I said trying to sound sad but it probably wasn’t working.

“All right. I will be there soon.” He said before hanging up. Soon enough he came flying through the front door. “What’s up?” He asked as he sat down and I made him a sandwich.
