"Stop waking me up in the middle of the night!"
Jughead stirred awake, realising it was only 2am; he was confused as to why he was awake. He looked out the window at the New York sky, the pitch black New York sky and as he was about to turn around and go back to sleep, he realised what had woken him up in the first place: Betty. She was talking quietly to her 5 month pregnant belly. "Hey bug" she said. "We have to be quiet so daddy doesn't wake up" she said and a grin formed on jugheads face. "I love you bug" she whispered "but please stop waking me up in the middle of the night!" She moaned. At this jughead couldn't be quiet anymore and a laugh escaped him. "Juggie?" Betty asked, startled. "Hey Betts" he smiled and kissed her cheek. "And hi bug" he beamed and leaned down to kiss her stomach. "Sorry if I woke you" she said as she rolled over into his arms. "It's okay, you and bug having a conversation was absolutely adorable" he quipped, and she giggled. After a few moments of comfortable silence and jug rubbing her kicking tummy Betty broke the Silence. "Will I be a good mom?". Jughead looked at her in shock. "Of course! There's no one else more capable of being a mom than you Elizabeth cooper" he stated. "What if... what if I end up like my mother" she asked again. "Betts, I need you to listen to me" he said as he moved to face her and move hair from her face. "I once said we aren't our parents Betts, and I meant it and I promise we won't end up like them betts, I'm scared too but we're in this together okay?" He said and she nodded. "I love you Jug" she said and kissed him softly. "I love you too" he said and pulled her back to him placing a kiss all over her face before landing on her lips. "Juggie?" She said. "Yeah honey?". "Thank you for making me a mommy" she beamed at him which he returned "Thank you for making me a daddy".
As they lay back down to go back to sleep jughead threw his arm over Betty; playing the big spoon and gently started to stroke her belly where their baby was. The baby started kicking his hand, and Betty moved her hand over his and started to fall asleep while their baby kicked. "Hey bug! Go to sleep and let mommy get some rest" he joked and the baby happened to stop kicking. "See betts, we have this parenting thing down already" he laughed and she giggled before moving closer to him. "Goodnight juggie". "Goodnight betts... Goodnight bug".
