Lost and Found

Chapter 5

The three paladins started fighting galra as Ami continues to fight towards Zoe. "Zoe!" Ami tried running towards her but Morvok stepped between them. "Not so fast girl" Morvok pulls out a short stick that had electricity crackling around it. Ami clenched her fists as she sprung towards him, knife in hand. "You bastard!" he laughed as he dodged Ami's attack. "Pathetic human, you think you can beat the great and powerful Mor-" he suddenly slumped over revealing shiro holding his arm above him. He moved aside so Ami could get to Zoe.

"Ami!" Zoe rushed into Ami's arms with a cry, her hands grabbing the material of Ami's jacket. "It's okay, I'm here now" Ami whispered, stroking her blonde hair in an attempt to comfort the petrified girl. "Sorry to break up the reunion but we need to get out of here" shiro said as Ami pulled Zoe closer to her. "right" ami nodded and pushed Zoe towards him. "Make sure she is safe" Ami gives him a hard look before rushing to take out more galra.

"Lance!" shiro calls for the blue paladin. Zoe squeaks in fear as more galra soldiers start attacking. "Lance, protect her with your life" Shiro instructs as he gently pushes Zoe towards Lance. "Of course Shiro" he turns to Zoe and grins at her "just stay close okay" Zoe blushed and nodded at Lance.

Lance got out his bayard, and started shooting any galra that came too close for comfort. "Watch out!" Lance called as a galra snuck up behind Zoe. He shot the galra and reached for Zoe. "Are you alright?" he asked looking at the green eyed girl in concern. "y-you saved me..." she said quietly. Lance blinked and blushed slightly "Well that is my job" he said scratching his neck. "Thank you" she said staring at him, strands of her hair had fallen out of her ponytail and were plastered across her face by blood, sweat and tears. "Thank me when you're actually safe okay" he said before attacking more galra soldiers.

"o-of course" she answered before moving closer to him. Lance gave her a small reassuring smile before shooting more galra.

"Keith could use some back up over here!" ami yelled over the noise of the galra. "Bit busy over here!" Keith grunted as he pushed a galra soldier off of him. "Well any help would be great!" Ami yelled before grunting as a galra soldier hit her in the stomach. She flew back onto the floor and winced as she used her elbow to prop herself up. "Stop or the girl dies" Ami looked up and directed her view to Zoe but she was with Lance. That's when it hit her, the cold metal against her head was a gun, she'd been surrounded.

The three paladins, and Zoe, stood still and lowered their weapons as Morvok glared at them. Zoe unconsciously grabbed Lance's arm as she watched her best friend's life being threatened. "Well, well looks like we have you surrounded" Morvok said cockily. He grinned evilly and looked at Zoe as she stared at Ami. She couldn't die, Ami couldn't die, she just couldn't.

"Long live the princess" Ami's eyes widened as she heard the gun powering up. Suddenly the lights powered off and Ami took the opportunity to stand up and elbow the gun out of Morvok's hand. As the lights turn back on the yellow and green paladins appeared. "Back up is here!" the yellow paladin yelled as he started firing his machine gun at galra. The shorter green paladin started taking out galra around Ami. With the extra fire power it wasn't long before the group was overpowering the galra. Ami walked over to Morvok as he rubbed his head in pain.

"You should have let us go back on earth, and now you will pay the price" ami lifted her dagger above her arms, ready to strike him down. Her glassy eyes glared at him as he cowered in fear. "Long live the king" she whispered as her knife came down but a small hand grabbed her wrist. "Ami no, don't do it, I'm okay, I promise!" Zoe cried out as she wrapped her arms around Ami. Slowly ami lowered her knife and her eyes returned to normal as she stepped back from Morvok. "Don't ever come back, next time you won't leave with your life" Ami spun around on her heel and walked away from Morvok. "Thank you Ami" Ami looked at zoe and ruffled her already messy hair. "It's alright, I'm here now, you have nothing to worry about" she glanced back at Morvok before following the paladins.

A faint flame shows the silhouette of a dark figure. "The princess has returned. The flame is blown out.
