Amalia Spencer is chanelling some seriously royal angels for this look.

As usual, Amalia Spencer has blown us all away for the Met Gala. Arriving in a gorgeous, embellished ruby-red and gold gown, the socialite proved she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with—and a princess sent from above.

Embodying a seriously high fashion queen (and good Catholic girl), Spencer’s Versace ballgown featured a gold, jewel-encrusted bodice with a flowing red skirt, complete with intricate gold detailing and just enough sheer cut outs to let her mile-high legs shine through. Finished with a slew of impressive jewels and headpiece, Spencer won in all categories.

According to American Vogue, it took 600 hours to embroider the bodice alone, and was so big the actress had to ride in a party bus on the way to the event

According to American Vogue, it took 600 hours to embroider the bodice alone, and was so big the actress had to ride in a party bus on the way to the event.

Talking to WWD in March, Spencer confirmed she would be attending the Gala, and let slip some details about her outfit—including how her accessories came to be.

“I just sent Lorraine Schwartz and Christian Louboutin my dress, and said, ‘Okay let’s do something special,’” she said. “They’re making something custom for it. So it’s kind of nice, because I have a bunch of artists around me who I have direct relationships with. It’s sort of a group effort with that. I rely on people who do that for a living rather than outsourcing it to someone else.”

As we’ve come to love, Spencer usually turns up on red carpets with her friend on her hand, but for 2018 opted to attend the event alone, just like a true Queen.

Long live Amalia Spencer.
