KAKA-BAKA'S Daughter!!!!!

😴Sleepover at the Nara's😴

After I got dressed in Shika's pajamas, which consisted of a long sleeved black shirt with a brown shirt over it and sweatpants, we played shoji. We were playing for hours and I was close to beating him, but once again he slipped through and won, Shikaku-san was observing the match.

"You're really good Haruko, you could beat Shikamaru if you practiced" he commented analyzing the board.

"Thank you Shikaku-san, but I don't think anyone, but you, can beat him." I said pouting, looking at Shika's smug face.

"It's alright you'll beat him one day" Shikaku-san said rubbing my head affectionately and then he pulled both of us into a hug. "Look at you two, young love is so adorable" he cooed at us while we blushed, trying to get out of his grip.

"DINNER'S READY, YOU THREE!" Yoshino-san screamed from downstairs, we clamber downstairs and sit around the table. We talk about how the exams are going so far and they congratulate us for passing.

"So, Haruko when am I going to become a grandma?" Yoshino-san asked smirking, I choked on my water and almost died. Shika luckily saved me by patting my back, so I could regain my breath, I look at him and smile gratefully.

"Thank you Shika, I almost died" I said the last part looking accusingly at Yoshino-san, who put her hands up in mock surrender. I huff while they all laugh at me and we continue the rest of our night laughing, when we go upstairs for bed Shika has a sleeping bag on the floor for himself. He refuses to let me sleep on the floor saying it wouldn't be right to let a girl do that, he's a little gentlemen. I close my eyes ready for sleep when I have a nightmare.

*NIGHTMARE*

I was walking through a forest, trees everywhere, I hear a scream in the distance and I start running to the sound. I try to get a kunai, but I'm only wearing a white, ratted dress, no shoes 'who's screaming?' I get there and I see Ino, Choji, and...Shika. Ino is screaming, Choji looks mortified and Shika's crying something I never see him do. I try to get a better look at what they're seeing and a gasp escapes my mouth, it's my body mutilated with my mom hovering over me. Tears silently fall down my face and I try to calm myself down, my whole body is trembling in fear.

"It's a dream Haruko, a dream, a dream." I repeat to myself, clutching my head and falling to the ground 'it's not a dream, dear this is a nightmare' I hear my mother whisper in my head. I start to crawl towards Shika unable to use my legs and I'm quickly losing the feeling in my arms, I'm too scared. I stop at his feet and I try to call his name, but sound won't come out.

"Shika, Shika, Shika" I whisper trying to get his attention, he looks down at me and I see all the pain in his eyes, I start shaking again, but not with fear.

*END OF NIGHTMARE*

Shika was shaking me awake and when my eyes snap open I see the same eyes this time filled with worry.

"Haruko, what's wrong? You were saying my name in your sleep and you were crying." He whispered in the dark, I whimpered remembering the awful nightmare.

"I had a nightmare," I croaked back, my voice teary. He gives my hands a squeeze and he went to turn back when I grabbed his hand tight."Can you sleep in the bed with me?" I asked blushing he crawls into bed next to me and I immediately feel much safer. "Thank you so much Shika, your the best" I said snuggling up to him, quickly falling prey to sleep. I sleep this time with no nightmares only thoughts about my best friend, Shikamaru Nara.
