😵 The End of the Beginning 😵

It has been a few weeks since Sasuke left, since the recovery mission. Everyone was getting serious about ninja training we all realized its not fun and games. At least everyone else did I already knew this wasn't a game. Sakura and Ino are training as medic-nins with Tsunade, Naruto will be going off with Jiraiya, as for me i'll be travelling. I need to re-visit my childhood trauma and confront it. Papa didn't want to let me go, but eventually he agreed seeing I needed it. Shikamaru was a little upset too and feeling as if we couldn't pick up the same a year after I leave we called it quits.

"Naru-nii!" I shouted running up to the gates him and Jiraiya stopped in their tracks. "I couldn't just let you leave without saying goodbye" I said cheerily engulfing him in a hug. Jiraiya creepily wrapped his arms around me sobbing hysterically. "Jiraiya you can let go now," I sweatdropped he almost suffocated me.

"Stay safe kid," he ruffled my hair dramatically turning around I rolled my eyes grabbing his collar bringing him to my height.

"And you better keep Naruto safe, if he's not in mint condition i'll kill you pervy sage" I threatened lowly he got the shivers quickly rushing out the village. Naruto turns around waving I wave back until I can't see them anymore. 'Now it's time for my journey' I think going home to pack I pack hugging Papa for an eternity. The council members gave me one year to come to terms with my past which isn't a lot of time. I walk with Papa to the gates I see Shikamaru, Asuma, Ino, Choji, Sakura, and Tsunade there to see me off.

"See you in a year kid" Asuma smiled I smiled back giving him a hug.

"We'll miss you imouto" Sakura and Ino sniffled trying not to cry.

"Here you go," Choji said handing me a bag of chips, then I handed him a limited edition bag. He gave me a big bear hug almost killing me.

"What a drag Choji you're choking her" Shikamaru said giving me a small smile. Choji let me go and I gave Shikamaru a light hug.

"I still love you, see you in a year" I whispered giving him a kiss on his cheek. He looked shocked trying to register everything, but I was already out the gates. Tears spilled down my face because of what I'm leaving and what I'm facing. First i'll be visiting the place I grew up if you could even call it that. I took a deep breath I was finally at the border I stepped over it and I shivered 'I'm acting weird.' I walk until I catch a crow hover over me I follow the crow into a meadow and I see Itachi.

"Haruko, I hear you're leaving the village for a year" he asks with an emotionless face. I raise up my guard up when I sense someone behind me. I throw a kunai back-flipping closer to Itachi 'it's a trap' I think replacing myself with a clone. I watch up in the trees trying to assess the situation, but this crazy guy comes at me swinging his scythe. I block turning on my sharingan 'I'm surrounded by four Akatsuki members I'm loving my life.' I think blocking another attack from crazy scythe dude, but this time he yells something about Jashin.

"Who's Jashin!" I shout at him the guy doesn't answer, but he yells some more about me being sacrificed. I catch his eye seeing him fumble a bit, but i never lose sight of his eyes then I trap him in a genjustu. Then I finally noticed which member he was "you're Hidan S-rank missing-nin you defected from Yugakure. Yugakure quickly turned from a shinobi village to a tourist site you joined a cult which I'm guessing worships Jashin. Jashinist worship the deity by bringing sacrifices in return he grants you immortality though you still need to do basic stuff like sleeping and eating." I finished analyzing the guy had a crazy eyed look breaking out the genjustu.

"How the fuck do you know all that? I swear I'm going to kill you kid!" He swang at me carelessly I stepped to the side elbowing him in his neck. I knocked him out, but I was huffing 'no way I can fight all of them' I think trying to figure how to get out.

"What do you want exactly?" I huff trying to distract them so I could catch my breath. 'When did I get so out of breath...month suspension,' I think cursing the council.

"Haruko Hatake I'm Pein leader of the-" he started in a righteous tone.

"I know, what I asked was what do you want from me? If you're asking me to join the answer is no" I cut off bluntly.

"We understand you're not defecting from your village, but we need your skills. The Akatsuki members will train you in return for your help. I promise you will be out of the Akatsuki this very day same time next year." He smirks holding out his hand I take a deep breath thinking over everything.

"Pein of the Akatsuki my answer is-"
