"Asteria! you are Asteria,are you kidding me right now!"

Asteria,she is Asteria.My mum that isn't my mum is a Greek titaness!

"So,you aren't my mum," I asked with my shoulders sagged.

She smiled at me,"You are taking everything we've thrown at you well,I might not have birthed you but you will always remain my daughter."

"You will always remain my mother too," I smiled and hugged her.

"Awwnn,such a nice moment but we don't have time for mushy moments," Drake said dully.

"So, I guess I am the halfling?"

"Yes"

Wow,I have always lived my life with just  normal teenage problems like my school grades and physique.

Now,my problems are advanced.It felt like the world was placed upon my shoulders.

I faced my mum,"So, what do we now?"

"Well,i have to-" She suddenly stopped with her eyes glowing white and the wind roaring around her.She was floating in the air and strange markings where on her body.

"Mum! What's wrong her?" I reached out to her panicked.

"Don't touch her and calm down,she is only having a vision," Eunice said.

"Oh"

"So, how long is this going to take?"

"We don't know,there isn't a specific time, she could wake up anytime."

I felt relieved but still a bit worried.

"So, mind telling me who the two of you are?"

"I'm Eunice,i am a mermaid,a creation of Poseidon."
I stared at her astonished "You're a human fish?"

Drake laughed while she glared at me.

"No! I am not a fish,I am a mermaid,a royal to be precise"

"OK, you are a royal fish then."

"No! A mermaid not a fish."

"A mermaid fish?"

"A mermaid!"

I stared at her amused, it's easy to rile her up.

"Whatever fishy,what powers do you have?"

"It's mermaid not fishy,what do you not understand there!"

"What powers do you have...fishy?"
I asked teasingly.

She sighed "I can bend light from the moon,control water and speak to every sea creature."

Control moonlight Huh.That sounds pretty useless.

"I am not trying to be rude though,but how could moonlight possibly protect you?"

"I expected that,I am a royal,a direct creation of Poseidon.Controlling moonlight is a lot,I could use it to control Nyx's and Selene's creations,the vampires and werewolves."

"Wow,that is quite useful."

She nodded,"Moonlight could also be dangerous to some creatures,it kills them."

Okay,I wasn't expecting that.That is so cool.

"Tell me about you Eunice."

She shrieked and replied,"I am Eunice,well you already know that.I love shopping,food and the colour pink."

"For someone who is a fish,I would have thought you loved colour blue but it's cool."

I turned to Drake who has been quiet all through.

"Mind telling me about you,Drakey," I asked.

"It's Drake,I am a phoenix,a creation of Apollo.I love black.I can control air and fire."

"I see,so, a fish and a bird, cool"

"I am a mermaid!"
"It's called a phoenix!"

They yelled simultaneously and I roared out laughing,rolling on the floor with tears streaming down my cheeks.

Eunice rolled her eyes at me and Drake pouted.Wait,pouted?.

"Hahaha," I laughed pointing at Drake.

They joined me,laughing too.

"We sound like a bunch of lunatics right now."

We stopped and started at each other and then burst out laughing again.

"So,how did you guys find us?"

"Your mother had a vision about the attack at your house and contacted us.We were supposed to pick you but we were late because someone was hungry," She said glaring at Drake who smiled sheepishly.

"What was that lizard thing?"

"It's called a Lizarea,a creation of Perses."

"How did he command it,isn't he in Tartarus?"

"Yes,he is but he couldn't have commanded it.The air in Tartarus would have dampened his abilities making him weak."

"Who commanded it or did it act on its own?"

"A spy,the same spy who has commanded several attacks on the palace."

"So, what you are trying to say is-"
"Yes,they have someone working for them on earth."

"What of the woman at the store?"

"She is a cursed Tamawo, a creation of Thanatos."

I sat quietly thinking about everything that had happened between yesterday and today.

I woke up thinking about how I was going to pack my things but now I have seen a lot.
I am surprised I haven't gone crazy,it is quite a lot to take in.

"Where are our stuffs?" I asked them.

They shot glances at each other and smiled sheepishly.

"Errr.....we kinda left them at the store."

"Oh,ok"

Drake looked at me baffled, "OK? aren't you going to lash out and yell at us for leaving your bags?"

"No, of course not.I am only grateful you saved our lives."

"Wow,ok..." they stared at me suspiciously.

My stomach grumbled and I blushed while they chuckled.

"I'll make fire,Eunice,get us fish from the pond."

She stood up to do that but we were interrupted by the sound of mum gasping for air.

"Mum!"

We rushed towards her.

"Eunice,get some water for her to drink," She drew water from pond from such a far distance,controlling it beautifully.

If it weren't for the situation right now, I would have sat down and stared at the beauty.

"Open her mouth wide!"

I did and she bended the water to her will, dropping it in her mouth.

"Mum, are you feeling better now?"

"Yes," she said breathing heavily.

"What did you see Asteria?" Eunice asked.

She suddenly turned ash white and replied shakingly,"The gate..the gate"

"What gate?"

"They have managed to crack the gate of Tartarus"

"What!"
